A New Side Table Arrangement and Jewelery Give Away

I did not think through planning blog posts on certain days when I had a Beach Trip planned. Shortly before we arrived at our rented beach house for the Labor Day Weekend, the owners cut off the Internet service. Bummer. Yes, I could have gone to the Dunkin' Doughnuts and gotten free Wi-Fi but that would have meant being pulled away from this cutie.

Miss Wiggles does not like the bright sun (she is a fair skinned red head so I suppose its only natural) so she loved loved loved her sunglasses. Never once did she try to pull them off or attempted to touch them. I think 'cause she sees me where mine, she just knew.

In the DIY blogging world, there have been so many neat table arrangements, and arranging every where else from bed sides, dressers, mantles, windows, etc. that I felt I should try my novice hand at artfully arranging my side table to the cozy leather chair in my library (aka, home office). So hear it is.

I had this silver platter fit for a Thanksgiving Turkey that, trust me, isn't going to make it to my table anytime soon. Since I don't see putting my mac&cheese or chicken tenderloins on a silver platter, I thought, hey, why not a side table.
There isn't anything like those first days of autumn when a nice walk is a great way to find great pine cones so of course a vase with a couple pine cones, acorns, Cinnamon sticks, some fake orange berries and purple bouquet fillers was my first move.

Thanks to the store, Ollies this canister was another great addition holding some pretty white flowers and more of those orange berries.
Also never making it to my dinner table anytime soon are those beautiful china dishes. Since, after all, I did just go to the beach and a beach is my favorite place on earth, sea shells were the perfect addition to this get together. So without further delay, here is my side table complete and pretty to look at.Didn't I read somewhere about a give away? Why yes you did! :) As it just happens, my trip to the beach, as always inspired me. This necklace is the result of said inspiration.
I call this necklace, "Drift Wood". It is a three strand necklace with blue glass beads, a silver (not real silver by the by) chain, and wood beads. I almost kept it but my motto is, I don't give away something I wouldn't use or ware myself so this necklace is my gift to one lucky recipient.

What must I do to get this necklace you ask? My request of you is simple.
