Dear Captain Wiggles

Image
Dear Captain Wiggles, Today was the first day you walked away from me and you took a piece of my heart with you. Tears in my eyes and a new hurt in my heart, I watched you let go of my hand and walk away. We were walking together and then there you were all on your own. Slowly but surely, and faster than I care for it to happen, you will take more and more steps away from me. I will do my best to be your coach and your cheerleader but don't forget I have a mommy heart. So while I teach you to walk without me and praise you when you do, in my heart I will have tears and it will break a little bit more. I will hide my tears as best I can that they not burden you but rather I will let them fuel my fervent prayers that as you walk away from me you walk closer to Jesus. Do know that when the way is not clear and you are unsure or just need the comfort, my hand is always here open in waiting. And for always, while you hold one hand look over, Jesus is holding the other guiding us both on...

Destined to miss MOPS again but I'm not missing Jesus

Image
We finally made it to the one year appointment. All is good. The shots I think are starting to effect her today. She feels a little warm so I suppose I'll keep and eye on that today. She doesn't seem to have much of an appetite either. We haven't made it to MOPS in the three months we have lived here. Seriously! It seems like every sickness hits every other Thursday. Its ridiculous . The cold several times, intense teething (teething is so hard on her), stomach bugs for all. Hopefully we will make it this week. Ok , as I wrote that last sentence I realized; slight fever, lack of appetite and I just put her back in her crib and not even so much as a fuss. ~Heavy sigh~ Hopefully this passes quickly. Not likely. I've been doing the Revelation study from Living Proof Ministries by Beth Moore with my church gals. Through out the study, we have been praying for our own revelation from God. As I feel like I have nothing in common with John save a mutual love of ...

Miss Wiggles, a Before and After (or almost after, more in the process really) and a giveaway!

Before we get to the before and after (or in the process of) pictures I want to share with you a different sort of before and after. We all love a good before and after I'm sure. Well, this morning in Bible Study we wrapped up our study into the book of Ruth. We delved into Naomi and her before and after story. There is a woman who went from hopeless to blessed among women. After her husband and two sons died she even changed her name to reflect her devastated state. By the end of the book however she was full beyond measure holding her grandson and praising the Lord. That isn't even the final after. Her grandson is the grandfather of King David, one of the greatest grandfathers of Jesus. Leave it to God to go above and beyond expectation in His redeeming story. We also were made aware of the only four women mentioned in the geneology of Jesus in Matthew chapter one; an adulteress, a prostitute, a foreigner and a woman who concieved her son via her father in law. Now don't ...

Miss Wiggles the jet setter and Pregnancy and Infant Loss Day

I could not have done the flight with out this awesome man. My hubby rocks! Looks like Miss Wiggles agrees. We flew to Arizona last April but vowed it would be a long time until we did it again without Daddy. Miss Wiggles had her very own seat for the first flight (it was just empty, no we didn't pay for it). She looked so grown up all buckled in...for about two minutes until she spent the rest of the flight sleeping on Mommy. We are safe here at Grammy and Papas and there are plenty of cousins around to play with. We are hoping for lots of good play time with them. Miss Wiggles has started calling me Dada and is starting to call her daddy Dada sometimes. Yesterday Daddy was the lone witness of Miss Sarah Wiggles sitting up on her own for the first time. Aunt Laura saw it once. I've yet to see it. I'm ok with that 'cause I am Dadadadada. :) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~` Today I remember Adam and Charis, Sarah's brother and sister. They are never far from my mind an...
