Loved

I think it would be wonderful if I could convey the warm peace and quiet joy I feel when I am alone with God and then the strengthening peace and the very steady joy when I am working in the mire of humanity. I wish I could convey the peace and joy that comes to laying myself down at God's feet submitting to Him knowing that I don't know but He knows all the who, what, when, where and why anwers to all the questions ever asked. I wish I could convey the dawning of the realization that God is not simply patient and tolerent of me, He delights in my presence always, always, always. When I turn my back it is only I who am doing the ignoring. When things aren't as I would like, I am the disapointed one. God is never disapointed . He knows exactly what I am capable of. He is amazing. "You don't have to be anything for Me except what you are, My child. You are Mine. Everything you are and everything you are not. Give me your best, yes, but don't stop the...

Standing Firm

In the news recently we hear a lot about dog fighting since a professional football player was caught supporting the illegal - inhumane sport at his home. I have heard since the news broke that their is a senator and now several influential people who are working to make dog fighting a felony. While I think dog fighting is a horrific thing for humans to do (after all, God specifically put Adam in charge of taking care of the animals) it is not lost on me that we have influential people and senators working on this issue while rape is not a felony, a recent baby killer served less time for beating the toddler to death than he did for a drug charge and killing babies yet in the womb is legal. It was only with in the last year that a girl shot herself in the stomach only a few weeks from her due date because she changed her mind about wanting the baby. The baby died of course and the mom was simply released from the hospital upon recovery. The argument that babies are just fetuses un...

Joshua

Dan and I are going to be moving to Richmond Virginia. I am so excited to finally know where we will be moving too. Now the race is on as we make the transition. As you pray for us, I want you to pray for our Sunday school class more. I love this group of young adults. There will need to be a new teacher found. It is my greatest desire that it be a young couple like us. I remember for me, the young couple my own college class had was very influential to my spiritual development as well as my growth as a maturing adult. I want so much for them to have the same blessing as I had. I will miss them so much. They are such a great group. Today’s lesson in church was incredible. Pastor Thurman taught from Joshua. He spoke about: the Senior Commander of the battle, the strategy of the battle, and the salvation of the one who believes. Christ appeared before Joshua in what is called a Christophony, a pre-appearance of Christ as the commander of the army of Heaven. He accepted Josh...

Try, try again

I have been trying to write another post for a while now, but I admit, it has been hard. I'm not sure exactly what to write and I seem to get lost in my own head over it, get overwhelmed and then give up. I am such an emotional girl! I am so very excited to see what God has for Dan's and my future. Things seem to be coming together. I can only say that this week holds a whole lot of answers to a lot of prayers. I can't say what they all are yet though. I am just so excited to continue following where God is leading. We are so close to getting ready to move. Dan has been putting August 20 as his first day available for work. That is so close! We are kind of sure about where we will be moving. I can't tell you how great that is. We have been making plans about what we will do and what we are looking for in a house. We want a one story with three to four bedrooms. I figure that three bedrooms and two living spaces or four bedroom and one living space would be...

The process of change

At this point I seriously am ready to be where we are going where ever that is. Dan has so many prospects; job call backs, phone interviews, on site interviews, connections and so much more. It's overwhelming. The good thing is that God is closing doors a little at a time. That makes it nice because we know he will close the wrong ones and open wide the right one. It's just the process is a little nerve racking. Right now I just want to get where we are going. I know we will have a job for Dan eventually, a location eventually, home eventually, a family eventually, a new church home eventually. Right now as it gets closer I admit I am having to give it up to God more often. Yesterday we visited a friend's family vacation home and today we just went to another friend's home to check out their shed they are in the process of building. I had to come home and pray to God from coveting for lack of a better way to put it. I'm jealous for one and it's prob...
