I know I wrote a post already today, and you are free to read it of course but then I had more to say. Satan really got me this morning as I went about my day asking me why I think anyone cares about what I have to say. Well, I want you to know that I shot him down real quick. Is it because I am a steller Christian? No, it isn't and I'm not. It is because of those I write to, you. You see I started this blog way back when I moved to Virginia because at the time those I deeply loved and I knew deeply loved me were far far away in Arizona, Idaho, and at the time California and in Georgia for Dan. Wanting to shorten that distance a bit and not lose touch with the fam. and my dear friends, I started a blog to keep them updated with my life. My sis, Michelle, has her two blogs so I keep up with her there. My SIL Laura has a blog and facebook so I keep up with her there. Since then of course my blog has expanded to have other purposes like an outlet for writing as that is my ...

Woot Woot!

Sarah insisted on getting her last bottle thirty minutes early and then went to sleep. She was asleep before 8:30. We went to bed at 9pm. Sarah didn't wake up at all in the night. I got up when Dan did at 5am and gave Sarah a bottle. She went back to sleep until 9am. So did I. :) Ah blissfull. Dan was able to get a full 8 hours, something I don't think has happened in a long while. He needed it since he is not feeling well. I hoping to get him to bed early again today. I way overslept, but who can say that with a baby in their house? I feel human again. Oh, and I did take some blankets to make myself a makeshift bed in Sarah's room just in case. As I posted before, Sarah sees my as bigger than Miley Cyrus (or Hannah Montana or whatever). Well, maybe I need to contact Miley and ask her what she does when her fans get a little to obsessed? Bodygaurds you say? Restraining orders? Tinted windows on my car? Oh, well, I guess I'm just going to have to be over...

Sleep, sleep sleep?

Image
Sarah is definitely making her own schedule. She likes to go to bed around 7:30, wake up at 3:30, eat and then sleep again until seven. Her naps the last couple days, she has been waking herself up. I'm looking forward the next growth spurt. Is that bad? Today nap time was harry scary. She slept for thirty minutes woke up poopie went to sleep thirty minutes woke up hungry. I finally got her down. She's asleep as we speak. I felt like it was midnight feeding her. I took a nap. My brain is numb. I went to bed at 10:30 last night but any sleep between 3:30 and six was on the floor in Sarah's room. I lay on the floor until she falls asleep so Dan doesn't wake up. I fell asleep long before she did apparently. I think I slept in there for an hour. Dan said he came in to see where I was at and I was the only one asleep apparently. At six I went back to bed. Sarah woke up at 6:30. I was plum done in. Unfortunately, caffiene and my heart don't get along. ...

What a nice Sunday afternoon just driving down the road. Oh! Hello there. Fancy meeting you here. Oh, gosh, thank you. I think you are beautiful too.

Twitter, Grandmama and Domestic Terrorists

I joined twitter! Oh my goodness, I'm so on the in crowd (I'm rolling my eyes at me too). I did it mostly to follow McMama and Stellan but I think I will get to twittering also. I'm a social gal after all and I need to be connected! Speaking of socializing, I have my MIL, Sandra here. She flew in yesterday. I am so excited to have someone to talk to and to help with Sarah. Sandra was able to feed Sarah when she woke up (after she slept in HIP HIP HOORAY!). I got to take a shower, do my hair and make and eat breakfast. Life is so good. Here is something not so good. According to the Department of Home Land Security, since I am against abortion and illegal immigration, I am considered a possible domestic terrorist. Since Dan is also against these things and he is an Iraqi veteran, he too is a possible domestic terrorist. Can you believe that? He serves his country and now is pegged with such a vile label. What is this country coming to? Those who gathered to prom...

A post from Sarah

Image
Hello to my family and Mommy's friends. I thought I would post some pictures of me since Mommy has kind of been slacking on that front lately. ;) I am rockin' Mommy's vintage if I do say so myself. Grammie saved some of Mommy's clothes including this dress and cardigan. Say it people, oooh aaah :) Here is me with my Daddy. He loves me and boy do I love him! This is me with Mr. Phil, Daddy's friend. He has a cute son named Braydon.

Miley & Zac ain't got nothin' on us...oh yea, and my case against poop

You read that title right my folks. When it comes to lighting my daughter's face up, it doesn't take Miley Cyrus or Zac Efron. Mommy and Daddy are all it takes to make those peepers open wide and a big grin to cross her face. What an awesome feeling. Last night as Daddy fed Sarah, I said something to him and her eyes immediately opened and she looked over at me. Every morning when I go in her room, and when ever she is on the nappie changing table (I call them nappies, I don't know why, but it works for me), she is all smiles. I just eat it up. That and the last three days, she has been inconsolably tired by the end of the day and it is only my chest she wants to lay on. Oh yeah! :) Woot! Woot! It is also fun to watch her head turn towards Dan when he gets home. He left to have breakfast with a friend this morning and as he walked out of the room talking, Sarah trailed him out. So cool! I'm sure when she is a toddler or when ever she is overly clingy it m...

Thankful Thursday

I haven't done a Thankful Thursday in a while. I've missed it so here it is. *What is a thankful Thursday if I don't start off by saying my beautiful lil family. *Sarah is sleeping through the night more often than not. My mental health is returned. ;) *Reading what I do in the news lately I am thankful we are all able to have opinions, voice these opinions but not impose them on other people in the United States. I recently found that The Department of Homeland Security has deemed Right Wing Extremists as dangerous and include those who are pro-life and against immigration. Well, I'm not against immigration but boy howdie I am against abortion so I guess I'm a right wing extremist and that is a scary label to be stuck with for believing every life is precious. So I'm happy that, for now, I am aloud to freely believe every life is precious and not just the ones "on the outside". *I'm thankful for my spring. I am loving all the color of cherry...

Just chillin'

Sarah enjoyed having lunch with Daddy on Monday. She is growing so big, I can't believe it. She is such a sweet baby. Today she is all about sleeping. Yesterday, not so much. I made up for what I didn't get done though. All is good now. I love watching her with her daddy. Sarah is pretty good on her own in the car seat, swing, bouncy seat, or going to bed on her own so when she specifically wants to be held I get kinda excited about it. I love this picture of Sarah with her daddy 'cause it looks like shes playing cool the way her arm is. So cute.

Somethings Coming

Image
The winds of change are coming to this corner of the blogosphere. There is a new blog coming and I am quite excited about it. There will be details slowly dripping out but for now this is all I'm saying. When, I'm not saying and where, I'm not saying that either. Let the curiosity begin.

Hubby Home, Memories, Easter and some random stuff

Image
I completely forgot about the Easter Lilies. I wanted to get two in memory of Charis and Adam. I found myself missing them quite a bit this morning. In front of me sat a family with four children plus some friends and I thought about all three of my babies sitting on the pew with me. I'm bummed I forgot. I talked to a friend not that long ago that had a little boy who only lived three weeks after he was born. She shared with me the hurt of those close to her who chose to forget about her precious boy and how they feel she should do the same and just move on. I thought about how her baby was in her arms for three weeks and my babies never were and how some may feel my clinging to my two precious ones is nonsense. Well, to the critics, pooh on you. They are my babies and I don't have standards for my love of my babies I just love them and I miss them much more than I will miss you when you are gone... so there. Dan came home yesterday and we were able to resume our rout...

The sleeping thing or lack there of.

I probably won't be waking Sarah up anymore. It hasn't mattered the last couple of days though because she wakes herself up. Last night Sarah woke herself up either every hour or every two hours. I hit the wall and just put her in her bassinet around 7pm so I could just go sit down for a few minutes. I called my SIL Laura to pray for me. She and my brother, Scott were a huge help. Thanks guys! My nerves were shot. After about five minutes I went back upstairs and she had fallen asleep so I just let her sleep. I fed her at midnight then she woke up again a little before three and I just gave her her passy. I fed her when she woke up at 4:30. A few times in their she fussed and I just gave her some time and she fell asleep again. I fed her at 8:30 this morning. I am sure she is in some place where she is changing. She is the one having to figure this whole thing out so as stressed as this makes me, I'm sure its as frustrating for her. Fortunately for me I have a...

Jinxed myself

I made the big mistake of telling someone that Sarah sleeps through the nights and I have to wake her up to eat when she's sleeping. She woke up at 2:30am last night, 7am this morning. Normally I wake her up at five and again at eight or nine. She sleeps during her from between twelve and one until 2:30 or three depending on when I wake her up depending on when she ate last, eleven or twelve. She is already waking up and today was a 3:00 day. I'm never telling anyone about her sleep habits again. Well, accept I just did....to all of you. After that, never again.....

A Crossover, A Deeper Hope

This past weekend I have experienced a crossing ove of sorts. Today Sarah is six weeks old, smiling, making communicating noises ( she has a distinct cute sound for, "Please put my bink back in my mouth.") and a lot more eye contact. Before this weekend though I have been growing a new kind of love born of our time together, I think Saturday was the day I accepted that she is really here and I allowed myself to really bask in that love. Up until that point, I think I really kept her in the same place as Adam and Charis. I miss them so much, wish I was looking into their eyes, experiencing the blossoming of their personalities. Adam would be two and Charis would be seven months. I think of them with a mixture of joy and sadness. I am eagerly waiting the time I can see them face to face and hold them in my arms. With the experience of forced unexpected goodbyes, I had my trust shaken. So with Sarah, I think I just couldn't believe she is really here. Spending alm...

I'm an angel I swear!

Image
Notice the swaddler blanket is holding her binky in her mouth. Awesome. I will never admit that at times I've thought of using the small holes a string to tie it to her head at night. I would never admit that. No not me! The doctor has confirmed the eyes will stay blue and her hair is red so my baby girl is a blue eyed red head. Awesome! Sarah is napping at the moment. Today has been much easier than yesterday. I have gotten a lot more done today. I think that does something for my mental state. I feel a bit more in control. Speaking of being in control. Nothing like a screaming baby to turn you to prayer. I keep a Bible in her room so as I'm waiting for her to fall asleep I can get some reading in. Today is a good day.

The four week...um, five week appointment.

Yesterday Sarah had her four week doctor's visit...a week and two days late. All was good. She is nine pounds and ten ounces. She is 21.5 inches long. That is defintely progress. We have put her on Gentlease Enfamil to hopefully reduce her fussiness, spit up and gasiness. Today was the first day of it so we have to wait until she is used to the change. The Lacto Free was not so good and the Soy made her so gassy she could chase you out of a room with her nasty gasiness. I was losing sleep last night over worrying about the formula thing. I guess the worrying cycle has started. I talked to God about it today and was reminded about trusting Him. The formula thing won't kill her, some discomfort but no damage. I was able to get a shower, a prayer time, a nap, make dinner and I am posting this post. Count the postive. :)
