The four week...um, five week appointment.

Yesterday Sarah had her four week doctor's visit...a week and two days late. All was good. She is nine pounds and ten ounces. She is 21.5 inches long. That is defintely progress. We have put her on Gentlease Enfamil to hopefully reduce her fussiness, spit up and gasiness. Today was the first day of it so we have to wait until she is used to the change. The Lacto Free was not so good and the Soy made her so gassy she could chase you out of a room with her nasty gasiness.

I was losing sleep last night over worrying about the formula thing. I guess the worrying cycle has started. I talked to God about it today and was reminded about trusting Him. The formula thing won't kill her, some discomfort but no damage. I was able to get a shower, a prayer time, a nap, make dinner and I am posting this post. Count the postive. :)

Has the pattern stuck? Is she still sleeping through the night?

Sounds like she's getting bigger! :) She's not gassing or spitting up all of her formula. :)

Can we see some pictures? Please?

We had a lot of formula issues with Hannalee too. She was extremely gassy and we tried soy and what not, but really, it came down to just trying different brands and you know what? The walmart brand was the one that worked. Don't get too worked up Katie, a lot of what goes on with your first child is trial and error. Even though we more "seasoned" moms can give advice to you we have all been there where you are losing sleep over first baby stuff. I freaked out when Hannalee got her first fever.
One thing for sure is you are doing a great job and you will get through this. One thing you could try is giving her gas drops before each bottle.
Just a thought... but you are her mommy and you are doing fine. Remember to lean on God! It can be frustrating the first few months... especially since they can't talk to you! Hope moving goes well!
