Light the Darkness

This evening I attended the "Light the Darkness" banquet for the Care Net Recourse Pregnancy Center. David Bereit, the Executive Director of American Life League and National Director of STOPP spoke about doing what we must to save the lives of unborn babies and fight against the lies told by Planned Parenthood. My heart ached and my stomach knotted as I listened to David Bereit speak about Planned Parenthood, how they act and what they show our children in the schools. One book given students 10 years old and up has naked cartoons of men and women posing in provocative positions and one picture actually has a man laying on a bed with a woman on top of him. The whole theme of the book is a bird trying to convince a bee that sex is a safe and fun activity to bring couplesstraight and homosexual closer together. It stated that sex is a good and fun activity. It is proven that schools that allow Planned Parenthood to do their sex education have higher teen pregnancy rates. No wonder children are having sex in the classrooms and in the bathrooms of their schools. They are learning from the schools that this is acceptable. I am outraged to think that a part of my tax dollars go to funding this kind of sex education. Recently, I had a client who had an abortion. I gave her a brochure that gave her a description of her particular abortion in clinical terms. She had no idea what exactly they had done. No one told her. For her sake and the sake of other women and girls that are deceived into having sex before marriage and to have abortions and for the sake of the boys who are told that having sex is the only thing that will make them a man and the fathers that are told that means nothing when it comes to a women's right to choose for these reasons I pray and fight against the principalities and the evil that wages war against men, women, and the innocent little lives. You know I think about Planned Parenthood's name. Parenthood is not always planned and I am thankful that my own mother agreed because if she had chosen to end her unplanned pregnancies she would have three children not five and my brother and I wouldn't be here today. I think on that and I am determined to make sure that more babies like me get the chance at life. I choose life.

I am so proud of you Katie. You have a great gift and a wonderful heart for the things that pains GOD. It is truly amazing to read your blogs and think of my little sister with such a great gift from God and using it in a way to touch others. I hope and I pray that God blesses you and Dan more than you both could ever imagine.

I love you both.

I choose life as well! I'm also totally thankful to your mom for choosing it as well, b/c if not, I would have never had such a wonderful and loving sister as I do now! I will have to agree with Scott! I'm so glad to see that you are writing more since that has always been a great gift and passion of yours! I love to read your blogs to see what great things you and learning from Christ! I love you so much!
I too am glad that mom had you and Justin. Unplanned pregnancies are Unexpected blessings. If Joe and I had an unexpected blessing, we'd love it as much as Jamie and Faith who were very much planned.

Praise God that they've outlawed partial birth abortions. It is a step in the right directions. I don't understand how women can take it so nonchalantly sp? It is life!

Now I know where you were last night when I tried to call you! :)
