So, I am reading this book, $100 Startup by Chris Guillebeau. I'm not planning on starting a business or anything. Its just super inspirational. I like inspirational people. I have this friend, Kathrine who is the best sewing person, sewer or whatever you call it in the whole world. When inspiration strikes, she sews stuff. I think that is freaking awesome. I have friends who have passions and they just go for it. Love it! My brother, Justin wanted to design toys. He did it. My brother and sister in love, Scott and Laura wanted to start a youth horse ranch. They are doing it. My husband was a sweet little country boy who wanted to go to the Air Force Academy. He did it. See the pattern? I like being inspired. So $100 Startup is a book full of people who find themselves not so much in a career or really intending to make it big but they just start down a path and do what they love. I asked a musician I know where he dreams of playing someday. He said that he just wanted...

I love this passage becuase it reminds me to trust in God. While circumstances may come and go, if one is rooted in God, He will help us weather the drought. I looked this Scripture up in several versions (on BibleGateway.com) and the KJV is the only one that refers to the tree in the feminine pronoun. I like this because when I read it, I felt like God was speaking directly to me and the circumstances in my life. I know that the year to come with my hubby's deployment will be difficult. God is telling me to get "grounded" - to have my roots drink from His living water.
I finally get your blogging. I didn't understand that you are continually writting and it's not just on one page. One of my favorite verses is "For in much wisdom is much grief: and he who increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow." ~Solomon Ecc 1:18 I like it so much because I have prayed for God to give me more wisdom, but in doing so have asked to also not become wise in certain areas. It is a verse that allows me comfort in hard times, but also keeps me in check not wanting to increase in wisdom to the point of no longer needing God, Solomons life story. I look at it as a warning and also a rewarding verse. The other one I love is "Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?" Luke 12:24 It is a wonderful reminder of God's increasing love and provisions for us. Even in times of living from meal to meal. I have seen some of God's greatest miracles when we had nothing. Both of these verses, I feel, are my life verses. And the whole book of Job, whom I often return to to draw strength.
