Treasures

The packers come today to pack stuff up. Tomorrow they will come to load everything onto a van and take it all away. Next Monday they will deliver it to our new home. I am so excited. We have worked really hard getting things packed, the house painted back to white and doing all the paperwork for our new house. It's all very exciting and very packed with good stress. Ustress is what it's called though I'm sure that is not how it's spelled.

Last night a very dear friend of mine got together some ladies for a going away get together for me. I am so blessed to know so many precious, beautiful, unique, blessed, loving - kind women. There words of encouragement are stored like priceless treasures in my heart. My prayer is that in my next church that I can be as much a blessing their as these wonderful ladies have been to me. I honestly believe that God put them in my life to be Godly examples of Christ centered women. I have shared in their happy events and sad. They have been with me through my happy events and sad events as well. They are some of God's most special creations and He isn't even done with them yet! I can only imagine. Thank you my beloved sisters in Christ for the priceless gift of your friendship. I am trully blessed.

I too hope that you find some new friends at your new home. I'm thankful for your friends for keeping you happy and grounded, since I can't be there with you. I hope to come see your new home. :) I love you and miss you!

DIY Day a bracelet and another Frenchh Memo Board

This week, I have two DIY projects. This is a faux pearl bracelet I made last week for a friend. It is a three strand bracelet. I couldn't really say how I did it though. I can say it has taken me a while to get the nack of jewelery making. One thing I have sufficiently gotten the nack of is this French Memo Baord thing. Here is a magnetic one I made for my fridgerator out of left over scraps from the window from last week . For the month of September, all my DIYs will be giveways. My second greatest creation!

I did it, I really did it. I've never done something to at this scale of work. It took me many hours but I did it. I am so proud of this DIY project. My first DIY Day! I would be remiss in mentioning that this little beauty is my best DIY and that handsome man there, well, he just melts my heart and fortifies it all at the same time. Here is the plain old dirty six paned window I have been hauling with me every where since I found it a few years ago at a Habitat for Humanity Restore. I had it done up before but that was a novice's attempt at crafty. I knew when I saw the other crafty DIY projects floating around the blogosphere that I would need to get serious in order to play with the big dogs. Inspiration

So, I am reading this book, $100 Startup by Chris Guillebeau. I'm not planning on starting a business or anything. Its just super inspirational. I like inspirational people. I have this friend, Kathrine who is the best sewing person, sewer or whatever you call it in the whole world. When inspiration strikes, she sews stuff.  I think that is freaking awesome. I have friends who have passions and they just go for it. Love it! My brother, Justin wanted to design toys. He did it. My brother and sister in love, Scott and Laura wanted to start a youth horse ranch. They are doing it. My husband was a sweet little country boy who wanted to go to the Air Force Academy. He did it. See the pattern? I like being inspired. So $100 Startup is a book full of people who find themselves not so much in a career or really intending to make it big but they just start down a path and do what they love.
