My wonderful hubby and I spent a good seven hours outside today working on the yard, garage, and walk-in crawl space. I only received a total of eight mosquito bites. The grass had gotten pretty long in a couple spots but now after D's expert mowing and edging skills, the grass looks perfect. The front flower bed by the road is also free of grass and weeds now. We worked on that one together. There are a lot of potted plants besides the plants in the flower beds, so everyone needed water. Some were looking rather wilted I admit. There are also about seven or eight house plants around the inside of the house as well. Who ever lived here before us left all her plants. I can tell she must have liked gardening. I personally am not a fan of house plants in my house. I love them in other people's houses, but I don't care to take care of them. I have seen a couple of gnats flying around which makes me eager for them to go. But back to the outside of the house. I love working on the yard with Dan. He is so much fun to be with. Yard work is one of my most favorite things to do with Dan. Regarding the unpacking, the boxes are all gone now. There may be about two or three left in the house but they are ones that won't get unpacked. Well, that is it for now. We are headed out to buy a couch and love seat. I love new home ownership!
DIY Day a bracelet and another Frenchh Memo Board
This week, I have two DIY projects. This is a faux pearl bracelet I made last week for a friend. It is a three strand bracelet. I couldn't really say how I did it though. I can say it has taken me a while to get the nack of jewelery making. One thing I have sufficiently gotten the nack of is this French Memo Baord thing. Here is a magnetic one I made for my fridgerator out of left over scraps from the window from last week . For the month of September, all my DIYs will be giveways. Atleast one will be...well, a guest DIY and a giveway by my SIL over at Read Be Tween the Lines. My sister, Candy and Ladybugs has a picture in her side bar of her latest crosstiching (did I spell that right? My spell check didn't catch it but I don't think thats how it is spelled) project. Its pretty sweet. Check their blogs out on my side bar of my favorite blogs. I've found so many new favorite blogs, I need to update that list. Add that to my to do list. :) Update: Happy To Design...

The gnats are from the plants, get rid of them. You could just put them outside, and take care of them until they freeze. :)
I love you!
