Unwinding

My House Warming Party was so much fun. I didn't stress to much before it and had help to get it ready. My friend, E, came into town to help. D, E and I were able to have fun getting it ready and then when every one arrived it was a great fun relaxing evening of talking. D and I are so blessed by having so many wonderful friends. A lot of our friends from the Peninsula came and some new friends came as well. We had chili, hamburgers and hot dogs. E made a chocolate pecan coconut pie that was awesome. A new friend, S, brought pumpkin cupcakes with cream cheese icing. Our pastor came. Now that I think about it I should have had him pray over the house. Didn't think of that. Mmh. Well, never the less, our house has been blessed by the presence and love of so many great people at our first party. D and I will be eating chili and hamburgers for the rest of the week. Fortunately there was a pot luck at church Monday night so we took some things to that like the rest of the soda and cookies. I definitely did not want those things around my house. To much of a temptation. That was a good time to by the way. I enjoyed the people I hung out with at the pot luck. I really needed both these gatherings to help me defrazzle. I've been wound tighter than a ball of yarn.

Now that the house stuff is done and the place is just like I wanted it, my focus is on my writing. I perfected my lady bug story yesterday and now I am working on another story. I knew as soon as the House Warming was past that writing needed to be my focus so I started on that yesterday. I am eager to get another story done. I want very much to get my children's writings published into books. I think that it would be such an awesome dream come true. I am thinking Bible studies and devotionals would be awesome too since I seem to have a nack for it. Who am I to stop God where he works.

I miss all you guys in AZ and Idaho. I can't wait until the next time we all are together again. I'm definitely making plans.
