After a lot of prayer and struggling, I went into work yesterday (Thursday) and quit me job as a hiring manager. There were a lot of reasons for it and I believe it was the right choice.

I am now in the search for a new position. Right now I am limiting my search to the internet as I have a cold so I am going to have to get over that before I venture out again.

The last couple months or rather year and a half have been quite an experience for me and Dan as well. I want to thank all of you who have been such amazing friends and supporters. God has used so many of you to infuse my life with love and affirmation as well as a lot of truth that helped me move forward. Though the circumstances have been a struggle I know that God has grown us into much stronger people as a result. I am praying that I can turn around and use my newfound growth and strength to be as much a support to you as you have all been to me.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. I hope that all of this works out for you and Dan. I can't imagine what you and Dan have gone through. I wish there was more that I could do. Like Laura, I would also have a baby for you if that is what it would take. I would be honored to do that for you.

DIY Day a bracelet and another Frenchh Memo Board

This week, I have two DIY projects. This is a faux pearl bracelet I made last week for a friend. It is a three strand bracelet. I couldn't really say how I did it though. I can say it has taken me a while to get the nack of jewelery making. One thing I have sufficiently gotten the nack of is this French Memo Baord thing. Here is a magnetic one I made for my fridgerator out of left over scraps from the window from last week . For the month of September, all my DIYs will be giveways. My second greatest creation!

I did it, I really did it. I've never done something to at this scale of work. It took me many hours but I did it. I am so proud of this DIY project. My first DIY Day! I would be remiss in mentioning that this little beauty is my best DIY and that handsome man there, well, he just melts my heart and fortifies it all at the same time. Here is the plain old dirty six paned window I have been hauling with me every where since I found it a few years ago at a Habitat for Humanity Restore. I had it done up before but that was a novice's attempt at crafty. I knew when I saw the other crafty DIY projects floating around the blogosphere that I would need to get serious in order to play with the big dogs. Inspiration

So, I am reading this book, $100 Startup by Chris Guillebeau. I'm not planning on starting a business or anything. Its just super inspirational. I like inspirational people. I have this friend, Kathrine who is the best sewing person, sewer or whatever you call it in the whole world. When inspiration strikes, she sews stuff.  I think that is freaking awesome. I have friends who have passions and they just go for it. Love it! My brother, Justin wanted to design toys. He did it. My brother and sister in love, Scott and Laura wanted to start a youth horse ranch. They are doing it. My husband was a sweet little country boy who wanted to go to the Air Force Academy. He did it. See the pattern? I like being inspired. So $100 Startup is a book full of people who find themselves not so much in a career or really intending to make it big but they just start down a path and do what they love.
