Thankfullness
One thing my sister Michelle has been doing lately is blogging about what she is thankful for. I think I will do that right now.
I am thankful to have Dan. He has such a happy spirit, is driven and organized. God knew exactly what I needed when he brought us together. I love him more every day.
I am thankful for my family. Even though we are so far apart geographically, I can still count on them when I need them for encouraging words. Just the other day some of them called to give me loving supportive words. They love me for who I am.
I just have my finishing touches to put on my fourth assignment for my writing class and then I can send it in today. I am accomplishing what I need to, to become a professional writer including working on the process of getting several articles submitted to different magazines, something I think I've been a little afraid of doing.
I'm thankful for my faults because without them I would have nothing to overcome. I would not be able to strive to become a kinder, more patient, stronger, and compassionate person everyday.
I am thankful for Leo, my cat. He is my furry little stress reliever and quite entertaining.
I am particularly thankful for my nieces and nephew. Their beautiful faces encourage me to continue being a better person. I am reminded that what I daily pray for them, first I need to be.
I am thankful for my friends and church family. I am amazed at how God has orchestrated the bringing together of such amazing people. I am reminded as May Angelo once said that I do not want to go through life with a catchers mitt on both hands but rather as I receive support and encouragement from friends, I want to continuously find ways to encourage and support them.
I am thankful my Heavenly Father, my Jesus and the Holy Spirit. "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life." - John 3:16 A simple verse to daily remind me that my eternity started the moment I accepted that Jesus death on the cross was for me. I am thankful that Jesus sees me as worth dieing for and then set out to prove it.
