An update on me

Dan and I were surfing Godtube this evening and found this really awesome singer, Coffey from Texas. There are a couple of songs that we both just love. Here is a link to his Godtube blog with the song, "All Ye". It is awesome.

It rained like crazy last night. The thunder and lightening woke us up through out the night. This morning the creek behind the house was overflowing. It was quite a sight. I opened some windows just so we could listen to it. I sure won't have to water my plants for a few days.

I have decided again to be a CASA in with the local juvenile court system. I am excited about starting up again. I applied today for a couple different positions at a local Christian school.

I am very excited about a Bible study we are going to do next fall at church. I will be leading it so I am going through it right now. It's Breaking Free by Beth Moore. I am so excited about not just having God's word come to life, but also what I know God will do in me to free me from the areas in my life that keep me from being all He created me to be. Already I know God's Holy Spirit is as strong moving through me as the water in the overflowing creek. I am excited to have him take from me the garbage that keeps His Holy Spirit from freely flowing through me.

I have discovered a new friend who also likes to garden. I am so excited she lives very close to me and we both agree it would be fun to share seeds and bulbs. I have lots of hastas and lilies that I would love to share.

This weekend I would like to say Happy Mother's Day to all moms (a tribute to my mom will come later). Without your sacrifice and unconditional love we would be in chaos. Here is a funny video to prove it.
