Our first ultra sound

Today we had our first ultra sound. Our baby is actually six weeks tomorrow. So every Tuesday I can post the next weeks picture or Monday night..anyway, I am excited to know that we are one week ahead of schedule. We also have a heart beat already! I am so excited! We are scheduled for another ultra sound again next Thursday, July 3 and again on July 10. The next two ultra sounds will tell us more. Our babies have not yet made it past the six week marker. They get that big and stop growing. So of course, this is going to be on my mind all week. This will be a great opportunity to work on making my requests known to the Lord and in all my ways trust Him and not lean on my own understanding. :) I am just so excited. I can't believe we saw that barely there heart beat. The baby is just so little. I can't believe how fast they grow at this stage. Whoow! Okay, thanks for all your prayer. I'll be keeping the pregnancy updated on the blog of course.

DIY Day a bracelet and another Frenchh Memo Board

This week, I have two DIY projects. This is a faux pearl bracelet I made last week for a friend. It is a three strand bracelet. I couldn't really say how I did it though. I can say it has taken me a while to get the nack of jewelery making. One thing I have sufficiently gotten the nack of is this French Memo Baord thing. Here is a magnetic one I made for my fridgerator out of left over scraps from the window from last week . For the month of September, all my DIYs will be giveways. My second greatest creation!

I did it, I really did it. I've never done something to at this scale of work. It took me many hours but I did it. I am so proud of this DIY project. My first DIY Day! I would be remiss in mentioning that this little beauty is my best DIY and that handsome man there, well, he just melts my heart and fortifies it all at the same time. Here is the plain old dirty six paned window I have been hauling with me every where since I found it a few years ago at a Habitat for Humanity Restore. I had it done up before but that was a novice's attempt at crafty. I knew when I saw the other crafty DIY projects floating around the blogosphere that I would need to get serious in order to play with the big dogs. Inspiration

So, I am reading this book, $100 Startup by Chris Guillebeau. I'm not planning on starting a business or anything. Its just super inspirational. I like inspirational people. I have this friend, Kathrine who is the best sewing person, sewer or whatever you call it in the whole world. When inspiration strikes, she sews stuff.  I think that is freaking awesome. I have friends who have passions and they just go for it. Love it! My brother, Justin wanted to design toys. He did it. My brother and sister in love, Scott and Laura wanted to start a youth horse ranch. They are doing it. My husband was a sweet little country boy who wanted to go to the Air Force Academy. He did it. See the pattern? I like being inspired. So $100 Startup is a book full of people who find themselves not so much in a career or really intending to make it big but they just start down a path and do what they love.
