Last Friday we had our broiler coil replaced. I put the old one next to the trash can to throw away later. Well, while getting dinner ready I went and cut myself on the rusty corner of it. It was a minuscule cut but I immediately washed it, used hydrogen peroxide on it and then neosporine. Just a disclaimer, if you get cut by rusty medal, you need to go straight to the emergency room or doctor if possible to get a tetanus shot. Don't wait until there are symptoms because then it is to late. Anyway, I went today because the area looked irritated where the cut is on my ankle. I do not have an infection or tetanus fortunately. I have developed an allergy to neosporine. Weird I know, but its better than tetanus so I am happy.

Today I am officially at seven weeks in my pregnancy. Thursday we have another ultra sound to get that confirmed. I am really looking forward to it.

I am also looking forward to this weekend. It will be so awesome to have Dan all to myself for three days, maybe four if he can get Monday off.

Hey! Be careful with antibiotics now. You know mom is allergic to penicillan. I'm glad you got a tetnis shot.

BTW, I have a horrible head cold! URG!

My prayers are with you on your cold. We are leaving Wednesday to go on our yearly family trip. I can't wait to hear about your Thursday babie appointment. Hope you feel better and your husband gets Monday off. It's always good for the soul when you get to have time with your soul mate.

Ouch on the cut. Never heard of anyone being allergic to neosporin. Glad to hear you don't have tetanus...always a good thing. Ya like Michelle said (hey Michelle! sorry about your cold, hope it gets better {{hugs{{ ) watch those antibiotics. Hope your appointment goes great today...can't wait to hear about it...maybe a picture?



Three whole days with the hubby....always a wonderful thing. I'll have my hubby home Fri, after 12pm on Saturday then all day Sunday. We're having a yard sale...wish us luck! lol

This week, I have two DIY projects. This is a faux pearl bracelet I made last week for a friend. It is a three strand bracelet. I couldn't really say how I did it though. My second greatest creation!

I did it, I really did it. I've never done something to at this scale of work. It took me many hours but I did it. I am so proud of this DIY project. My first DIY Day! I would be remiss in mentioning that this little beauty is my best DIY and that handsome man there, well, he just melts my heart and fortifies it all at the same time. Here is the plain old dirty six paned window I have been hauling with me every where since I found it a few years ago at a Habitat for Humanity Restore. I had it done up before but that was a novice's attempt at crafty. I knew when I saw the other crafty DIY projects floating around the blogosphere that I would need to get serious in order to play with the big dogs. Inspiration

So, I am reading this book, $100 Startup by Chris Guillebeau. I'm not planning on starting a business or anything. Its just super inspirational. I like inspirational people. I have this friend, Kathrine who is the best sewing person, sewer or whatever you call it in the whole world. When inspiration strikes, she sews stuff.  I think that is freaking awesome. I have friends who have passions and they just go for it. Love it! My brother, Justin wanted to design toys. He did it. My brother and sister in love, Scott and Laura wanted to start a youth horse ranch. They are doing it. My husband was a sweet little country boy who wanted to go to the Air Force Academy. He did it. See the pattern? I like being inspired. So $100 Startup is a book full of people who find themselves not so much in a career or really intending to make it big but they just start down a path and do what they love.
