This and That

Dan and I had a great anniversary. He really pampered me. I had breakfast in bed followed by an Easter Egg hunt of sticky notes all over the house with things Dan loved about me. Dan made popcorn and we watched our wedding video. My favorite part is when one of my dear friends, C, sings "You Raise Me Up". Then Dan took me to lunch at the Botanical Gardens. I took a long nap and then we went to the Melting Pot for dinner. Dan gave me a Willow Tree statue of two parents and a baby. I gave him a kayak rack for the car. It was a pretty awesome anniversary.

This past weekend we went to Atlanta for Dan's friend, P's wedding. That was pretty fun. We had a really good time. I did not dance though to be safe though I did want to. The bride's dress was pretty awesome. It was very elegant. We also while we were there went to the Aquarium they have there which is the biggest in the world. It was a lot of fun. Admitadly I probably shouldn't have gone, but I did spend some nice time curled up on a padded bench enjoying the fish in the corral reef. There were also three Beluga whales they are trying to mate there. Baby belugas sound very cute.

It was very nice that Dan had all last week off. Of course it was to short. He helped a friend with her stairs, Erin, since her hubby, M, is deployed. We are going back this weekend to finish it up. Right now, Dan is in Raleigh again. :( I hate that. He is pretty overwhelmed trying to run that place and his own facilities. He is spread pretty thin. Hopefully it will be soon and they will get someone.

My pregnancy is making things a little crazy for me. I have near to zero drive to do anything, am always queezy and have acid reflux. Milk seems to be the best thing for that. The savoring of food is short lived with all the reflux though. I definitely more tired. I am pretty behind on a lot of things which is not good. I am really looking forward to the second trimester when I will hopefully feel better and have lots of energy. That is what I have been told about it. My hormones haven't been to terrible though I did get my hair done last week and almost had a melt down when the girl colored my hair the wrong color. Then again I don't know if I communicated well about it. The color on my head though was no where near the color I chose. She did fix it for free and it turned out a lot better though still not the color I wanted. Needless to say I won't be going there ever again. The whole place of people were just rude. I like the soothing atmosphere with nice people who aren't sitting around gossiping and nattering over top my head to each other. Personally I think hair stylists should have a workshop about communication and how to sooth heir clients. Okay, I'm being hormonal probably. I honestly like to hear about my stylist's life especially if she is not a Christian. Its a good opportunity to be a good witness.

This Thursday is my last of the important early ultra sounds. I will be nine weeks. If all is good then all is good to go. I'd like to be able to be more productive like work out so hopefully that restriction will be lifted. I've gained to much already with all the sitting around and ravenous appetite.

I'm glad you guys had a great week and anniversary. What a sweetie your hubby it! Don't worry about getting things done...they'll still be there. Just take it easy and rest as much as you can. And the weight, heck this is the only time we can get away with piggy out. lol It'll come off after the baby is born. Just try to relax and enjoy your pregnancy. :-)
