Sunday

Update: Here is the growing belly at 18 weeks.

This is my second post of the day. I'm just saying that so you don't forget the other one. Its an important one.

Today was such a good day. We had a guest Pastor come and kick of our Church Revival. For all you West Coasters, yes, churches in the South really do have Revivals. :) Matt McKully (Matt correct me if I spelled that wrong) is a former member of our church who has since become a pastor and has his own church flock to shepherd. It was so exciting to hear a clear list of scriptures presented for the imp0rtance of Salvation. I have to say I was very touched when afterwords Matt was concerned that his comment concerning abortion might have offended me as a pregnant woman. It meant a lot that as he did his sermon he thought of me. And because I said I would write it, here is what he said and what my response was. Matt explained that there was once a saying that went, "No place safer than a mother's whomb." Well now that isn't true. Now, the most life threatoning place for a person is there mother's womb. By far more people die from their parent's abortiing them than anything else. Of course all you who know me know that did not offend me so my response was that I am not offended and if you join a picket line, let me know when and where and I'll be there. You know the Democrats recent argument for the importance of abortion is eliminating the environmental footprint of so many people. My response to that is if we are so concerned about people's environmental footprint then why can't I drive around town with a shotgun and pick off all the people who throw their trash out the window? Why not elliminate cattle for that matter their enironmental hoof print is rather large. :) I say that all in part jest of course. I do point out though that the reasoning is about as sane (meaning both are insane). I'll stop there.

On another note, I was very touched by how many people at my church are so excited about this baby. Since every body is just about as excited as we are to know what we are having, I've been telling every one that what ever color I wear on Oct. 11 will be conducive to the sex of the baby. Trust me, it is not lost on me to know that I have such amazing people in both my earthly family and my Christ family that care so much about Dan and me. I just pray that I can be as much a blessing to those who have been such a blessing to me... and a blessing to those who do not have the intent to be a blessing to me for that matter. Why just be nice to those who are nice to me? I've encountered people that I thought were mean or didn't like me only to find out that they in fact had just had a bad day or a bad year or thought I didn't like them. Which reminds me that the amount of people I know or am aquainted with who have cancer or some other serious issue, hip surgery, miscarriages, struggling marriages, children with special needs, house bound, I am reminded how thankful I am for where I am and when I see how these circumstances have not stopped these people from being loving, praising joy filled people, well, I am lifted up and reminded to praise as well...and stop whining.

Wow, that train of tought and last run on sentence might make the previous article make a lot of sense. :) LoL I hope you all have an awesome week. Our Revival continous every night this week and ends Friday so prayer is welcome that lives are changed for the better.
