Wachovia and CitiBank

update: it appears that for now all is good. With the contract with Wachovia for three more years, that is a good thing. Also, it appears that CitiBank uses some Recall services, so there is a chance Recall may get the account. That is still no good for Iron Mountain people. I just don't want anyone to lose there job. At least in the short term it might not be as bad. This gives people at risk a chance for a different job.

This does not mean good news for Dan and me. Wachovia is a client of Recall but CitiBank is a client of Iron Mountain our competitor. Since Wachovia only utilizes half of Recalls services, they are going to switch to Iron Mountain. This is no good considering that Wachovia makes up almost 60% of Dan's business. I'm not sure how all that is going to effect things, but it doesn't look good so please keep Dan as well as the great team of people that work for him. We have to keep everyone in our prayers until this mess is resolved. So many people are struggling and now so many more will be. Thanks for the birthday card. I only received half of it with a sticker that said "damaged by postal system" the rest must be in the mail somewhere.

DIY Day a bracelet and another Frenchh Memo Board

This week, I have two DIY projects. This is a faux pearl bracelet I made last week for a friend. It is a three strand bracelet. I couldn't really say how I did it though. I can say it has taken me a while to get the nack of jewelery making. One thing I have sufficiently gotten the nack of is this French Memo Baord thing. Here is a magnetic one I made for my fridgerator out of left over scraps from the window from last week . For the month of September, all my DIYs will be giveways. My second greatest creation!

I did it, I really did it. I've never done something to at this scale of work. It took me many hours but I did it. I am so proud of this DIY project. My first DIY Day! I would be remiss in mentioning that this little beauty is my best DIY and that handsome man there, well, he just melts my heart and fortifies it all at the same time. Here is the plain old dirty six paned window I have been hauling with me every where since I found it a few years ago at a Habitat for Humanity Restore. I had it done up before but that was a novice's attempt at crafty. I knew when I saw the other crafty DIY projects floating around the blogosphere that I would need to get serious in order to play with the big dogs. Inspiration

So, I am reading this book, $100 Startup by Chris Guillebeau. I'm not planning on starting a business or anything. Its just super inspirational. I like inspirational people. I have this friend, Kathrine who is the best sewing person, sewer or whatever you call it in the whole world. When inspiration strikes, she sews stuff.  I think that is freaking awesome. I have friends who have passions and they just go for it. Love it! My brother, Justin wanted to design toys. He did it. My brother and sister in love, Scott and Laura wanted to start a youth horse ranch. They are doing it. My husband was a sweet little country boy who wanted to go to the Air Force Academy. He did it. See the pattern? I like being inspired. So $100 Startup is a book full of people who find themselves not so much in a career or really intending to make it big but they just start down a path and do what they love.
