Getting back to the Hebrew

I've totally gotten into studying Vine's Expository Dictionary of Biblical Words. Its so cool! The more I read the more I want to read it. Who hasn't heard the excuse that the Bible can't be trusted since it was probably changed in translation. Well, here's to nipping craziness in the butt. I'll try posting as many as I can for ya'll to read.

aman (Hebrew) – believe; to be firm, to be enduring (Deuteronomy 28:59), be faithful, stand fast, to trust (Isaiah 43:10) also often translated into the word faithful used in Old Testament.

My meditation: Isaiah 22:23 refers to a firm place (aman), “I will drive him like a peg in a firm place.” We can pray that our belief in Him is a firm place where all else can be firmly, planted. That and He is a firm place for us to be planted in. When this kooky world continues to contradict it's self, God never does. He is unchanging. We cannot do anything to make Him love us any more or any less. Go God! Yeah!

I would also love to know what you all think and if you have anything to add. I am always excited to learn how God speaks to others through His word. Seriously! Post and let me know. :)
