Update

Dan did not make it in last night. He was kicked back to today. So instead of last night at llpm I will go get him, hopefully, at 6:30pm today. His layover in Newark is what did it in. Now he will go by way of Atlanta which makes more sense to me anyway.

I forgot to mention it earlier but my sister, Michelle made cupcakes with little iceing booties on them. When my niece, Faith, asked her what she was doing and she said baby booties, her response was "Eeeewwww". I corrected her that they are baby slippers, no baby bums. We got a kick out of that. Gosh, I haven't even put up pictures from our Baby Shower with Dan's family. I'm so behind. Dan's cousins, Jordan & Dustin and Alicia & Rodney really hooked us up. Jordan handed over three garbage bags full of baby clothes and Alicia gave me her Pack and Play which is just what we had wanted.

So, due to the time change I am unfortunately waking up between five and 5:30 every morning. I force myself to stay in bed until atleast six. Tonight I think I will take my Tylenol PM. I forgot about that. It is doctor recommended in case anyone was wondering.

I felt very loved this morning when Dan told me several people at my church were concerned Dan let me fly and fly alone at that. :) I did very well on the plane and had made sure my doctor okayed it first. Thank you guys for your concern for me and Sarah. I thank God for you more than you know. I love my VA family!

DIY Day a bracelet and another Frenchh Memo Board

This week, I have two DIY projects. This is a faux pearl bracelet I made last week for a friend. It is a three strand bracelet. I couldn't really say how I did it though. I can say it has taken me a while to get the nack of jewelery making. One thing I have sufficiently gotten the nack of is this French Memo Baord thing. Here is a magnetic one I made for my fridgerator out of left over scraps from the window from last week . For the month of September, all my DIYs will be giveways. My second greatest creation!

I did it, I really did it. I've never done something to at this scale of work. It took me many hours but I did it. I am so proud of this DIY project. My first DIY Day! I would be remiss in mentioning that this little beauty is my best DIY and that handsome man there, well, he just melts my heart and fortifies it all at the same time. Here is the plain old dirty six paned window I have been hauling with me every where since I found it a few years ago at a Habitat for Humanity Restore. I had it done up before but that was a novice's attempt at crafty. I knew when I saw the other crafty DIY projects floating around the blogosphere that I would need to get serious in order to play with the big dogs. Inspiration

So, I am reading this book, $100 Startup by Chris Guillebeau. I'm not planning on starting a business or anything. Its just super inspirational. I like inspirational people. I have this friend, Kathrine who is the best sewing person, sewer or whatever you call it in the whole world. When inspiration strikes, she sews stuff.  I think that is freaking awesome. I have friends who have passions and they just go for it. Love it! My brother, Justin wanted to design toys. He did it. My brother and sister in love, Scott and Laura wanted to start a youth horse ranch. They are doing it. My husband was a sweet little country boy who wanted to go to the Air Force Academy. He did it. See the pattern? I like being inspired. So $100 Startup is a book full of people who find themselves not so much in a career or really intending to make it big but they just start down a path and do what they love.
