2nd trip to labor and delivery

Update: Any one with a good tip for keeping my legs and hips from falling asleep while having to stay in bed please share!

Original post:

Yes I mean just what I wrote in the title. I spent all day yesterday in Labor and Delivery hooked up to monitors. It turns out I am having some very persistent "False Labor" that started Wed. evening and persisted on from there. These contractions are sporadic, very in length and time they come but do come often. I received two different kinds of medications to try and stop them while I was there, but neither med was successful. My contractions were labeled uterine irritability. Trust me, after having to lay on my side in an uncomfortable hospital bed all day, the irritability did not stay in just my uterus. That is why I take this opportunity to apologize to my parents and any one else who found out that indeed I do have a nasty attitude and its not pretty. Sorry about that.

I was able to come home and sleep in my own bed fortunately. Right now, they seem to be a lot more calm than they were. Where before they were rather crampy, now I don't seem to feel them at all. Praise God!

My mom will be flying out on Tuesday to help out. By then I will be 35 weeks and Dr. D seems to think that there is a big difference between 34 and 35...even bigger between that and 37 actually. So the further along the better which I'm sure you all know.

Tomorrow is my baby shower. Dan and I will have to buy that car seat this weekend and a few other things so we are not caught off guard. That will be fun.

The baby's room is almost fully done. Still need that bumper pad and mattress now that I think of it. I'll get on that today. Well, here is a look at what we have so far.

Here is the dresser top all cute and decorated.
I bought the window at the Re-Store, a Habitat for Humanity store.
It makes a good dry erase and note board.

We still need the crib set and a crib mattress,
but I'm loving the mobile. The quilt on the glider
was made for me by my Great-Grandmother.

You just rest as much as possible. You don't want your baby to born early like you were. :) I hope Sara doesn't pick a hole in the amniotic sack like you did! :) You just wanted to come out early and meet me!
