About 7 more weeks to go!
Oh my gosh, oh my gosh! I can't believe in about 7 weeks me, Katie, ME! I am going to have a little vulnerable, totally innocent baby completely dependent on me...ME! I hear the thought in my head that says I'm not old enough... accept I'm 29 and plenty old enough. Heck, I couldn't be more ready but oh, my gosh! The closer B-Day gets the more adrenaline I feel charging me. I am just so excited.
I did my first loads of laundry this week of 0-3 month close (again Jordan you rock!, your the best cousin ever! Theres no way she will wear all the clothes you gave me, there is so many and so cute!) I learned baby clothes don't dry as fast as big people clothes. The loads definitely need to be smaller. Seeing all those cute little clothes in their places in the dresser is just precious. My dear dear friends here in VA are going to have a baby shower for me and I can't wait to celebrate with them. I am so eager to get everything put together I can hardly stand it. I have to fight the temptation to stop in at Babies R Us every time I pass by.
The pregnancy progresses great. Wouldn't you know though, I hurt my sciatic nerve this week and have had to spend the last three days pretty much recuperating. No, I don't know what I did to aggravate the already sensitive nerve...well accept carry another human being in my belly. It is getting better swiftly which is awesome because from what I've learned it usually takes at least a week to recover. One major lifesaver for both back and belly is my maternity belt. I go NO where without it. Sitting or standing, it is a major necessity. I have tried sleeping with it, but that doesn't actually help. I don't suppose anything helps there.
When I went in for a check up at 30 weeks my belly measured at 32 weeks. Well, when I went in at 32 weeks my belly measured at 31 weeks. ???? My doctor (who is awesome by the way) explained that Sarah's position can make my belly bigger or smaller depending on how snuggled in she is. Well, what ever the reason is, I'm still a bit vain so the smaller belly works for me. I suppose having the wee one will help with that me-sentric way of thinking.
That is it for my rambling today. If anyone has any good tips for sleeping and getting comfortable, please share!
