A few of my favorite things
I think I was tired when I wrote my last post judging from the title. Oops. :)
Yesterday started with snow followed up by rain. The day before was sunny. Today is sunny. I've decided I like all three weather conditions. Who doesn't like a light snow? Can't add to that. A sunny day? Always welcomed especially after a rainy day. A rainy day now, that holds a little bit of a special place. Rainy days tempt us to want to curl up under the covers longer, read a good book, get a long overdue cup of tea. I just got done reading my sister, CandyandLadybugs' Teacher blog (to go to it, click HERE). The very special education students and adults are all so important because of what they bring to our lives. Rainy days are like that. I am reminded to slow down, enjoy life a bit more, stop and take in the chamomile.
A memory I have from childhood is waking up on a Saturday morning, stripping the sheets right off and throwing them in the washer. We would open the windows, clean the house and hang the laundry out to dry. I don't think it was magical to me at the time, but it definitely is now. I am a home body and I love my family so after a week of all of us going our separate ways, that was a time we were all together, all working together. I hope that I can make that a gift for my children as well.
