Crazy days and the eager beaver villager

So today went way away from what we had planned. I went to run some errands before we headed off to spend the night at our friends Erin and Manny's house. Then a we needed to vacate the house which meant Dan had to leave (who was working from home) so he couldn't finish what he needed to do before we left. It was finally 7pm before we were able to leave so we decided to change that to Sunday night after the BBQ with our friends Phil and Natalie. Did you follow all of that? If not, then join the club that is our life lately. I admit I hit a wall and my stress level made me quite inconsolable there for a minute...a lot like Sarah when all she wants is to go to bed...which she hit at the exact same moment.

Enough complaining. So while with my family this past week I realized in the saying, "It takes a village." I am the eager beaver villager who likes to help others parent a little too much. While with my SIL, Laura, her daughter, T bonked her sister, J, over the head with a sippy cup. I didn't even hesitate when I took it right out of her hand. Instant melt down ensued. Laura was completely okay with it...phew. It did make me think though, am I going to be as willing to let my family step in as I am willing to step in with their kids. I mentioned to them I was going to blog about it which reaped the response that they would go ahead and print this post and use it to remind me when... if I wasn't okay with it. I here by say that I support my siblings help with my kids and if there are moments I don't...I'll do my best to suck it up and let you do your thing...do my best...mmmh yeah. ;) Just kidding...no seriously, I'll do my best.
