This and That

I usually eat strawberry yogurt cheerios for breakfast but bought Special K with Strawberries this week. I am trying to shop more at Costco and they didn't have my cheerios. Well, I also bought some dried blueberries. I put those in my cereal and boy a boy what a good tasting combo and healthy to boot. Can't go wrong with that.

A few other things that are good and I just plain can't live without honestly are Collagen and Elastin lotion by Saint Ives (Dan and I both love love love this lotion), milk, and sweet tea (keep the hubby happy). That is all I can think of. Dan loves consistency so he eats a lot of the same things. I pretty much only like consistency in Dan. I like to change things up every once in a while.

I am very excited to say I may be getting a new lap top this month. I want one so so much. This computer likes to randomly shut down so if I am working on something and I can't save it or haven't yet, its gone. I hate that. This computer also can't do to many things at the same time as in it can only do one thing at a time. I used to play solitaire when my shows were at commercials, as in watching shows on the internet, but it can't handle that. We have netflix but can't watch the movies on the internet 'cause it can't handle that either. Oh, yeah and as a side note, our VCR/DVD machine broke this week. Bummer. We have a DVD player though to replace it. Anyway, I'm excited about a new lap top. I've got so much I want to do but can't yet until then...like a particular blog I've mentioned every so vaguelly.

I had a great prayer and Bible study time this morning. I read a verse in Deuteronomy that talked about impressing upon, talking about, teaching the Big 10 to our kids. I haven't even read those commandments in forever so I went over a couple again. Then I dissected that verse on how to impress upon, talk about, teach the Big 10. That leads me to my question. I would love love love you parents out there to write a comment on any special things you did with your kids to help them learn the 10 Commandments or any other important scripture. Please share, enquiring mommy wants to know.

Buy your kids the bigger toy and then they won't covet the neighbor's toy. HAHA Just kidding! I make sure Ashlyn sees extreme poverty so she can be grateful for her blessings in life.

I'm with you on that one Julie. One thing I really want for Sarah is that she be absolutely comfortable with as many different people as possible; people who are rich or poor, of every nationality, different religions, hippies, preppies, bookworms and out door types, those who like to talk a lot and those who prefer silence etc. I know the place that starts is being confident in who she is as an individual, not cocky or self absorbed, but accepting of herself.

Here's another one: Thou shall honor thy mother and father by not pooping and peeing all over the house while I'm trying to potty train you! Boys are like little puppies just marking their territory. God help me... are there any potty training prayers?
