I would so be single forever if...
I read an article recently that suggested that guys will ask girls on dates via texting. I also saw a movie the said guys will ask a girl out via facebook. This has inspired me to come up with four things why I am glad I'm not dating now as a young twenty something. 1. Guys in tight jeans and shaggy hair. I would be single forever if that were my options.
2. I went into Express, and Charlotte Reuss the other day. Maybe because I haven't forgotten the 80's and lived the 90's leggings, vests, electric or bright colors flash me back to elementary school and that wasn't pretty. While my young gal pals look great in it....I would so be single forever.
3. I only check facebook about twice a week so if a date was asked there, I would miss it so, well, I'd be single forever.
4. Texting date requests? Thats like driving up to a girl's house for a date and honking your horn rather than coming in the house. I'd so be single forever.
Why this odd post? I'm just thinking about turning thirty come November, no longer gonna even be in my twenties so I suppose maybe I'm just a bit of jealous so this is my way of dealing with it.
Really though, I am quite excited about how far I have come, the perspective I have on life and what constitutes a big deal and what doesn't, what I do with my time, how I see process things and people around me. I am excited for my next decade because I am excited for how God will shape me and grow me. I feel a rendition of the song, "The next 30 years" coming on so I better stop. :)

You have a bit of a humorous artice here, but you raise some very important points, too, very pertinent for our current age.
BTW, I just started facebooking a month or so ago and am learning my way around that "new" method of connecting with people.
