This and That

I'm always super jealous when I read other people's blogs who have friends who do cool stuff for them on their blogs. What I wouldn't give for some super blogger savvy friend to come along and make all my blog dreams come true. I know a few things but I would need a whole day with no distractions to really figure out what I need to do. I'm terrible at multi tasking and quite frankly a six month old is not conducive to figuring out html and blog order.

God has been really doing a work on Dan and I. I think having a baby will do that. He and I both agree for the time that this child chooses to adore us and look up to us, we want what she sees to be the best we can give her and we see some areas in need of renovation. I love a good DIY. Now is a time for a little DIY God Holy Spirit style on our hearts, our attitudes and our minds.

Does any one know the best way to paint kitchen cabinets white with out having them scream "I've never done this before!"? We may be painting our kitchen cabinets white and I don't really know what I'm doing there.

We are considering taking our house of the market. This could mean some serious projects in head of us on this house. We are obsessed with home improvement! Windows, painting walls, kitchen, decorating, craft cabinet, gardening bench, vegetable garden, flower beds, some new lighting, weekly visits to Habitat ReStore, thrift stores, Home Depot. Is their a DIYA (Do It Yourselves Anonymous)?

Miss Wiggles has two bottom front teeth now. Way too cute I must say. She is also able to sit on her own for atleast a few seconds. She really concentrates. She loves to stand, travels via rolling over, sleeps with her but in the air. How I got to be so blessed, I haven't a clue, but hey no questioning it here. I'm just going to enjoy that precious little girl.

In case you wonder, I am a terrible speller and sometimes use the wrong words so spell check can't get it all for me. Forgive me my grammer, spelling and punctuation. I'm sure I'll relearn when Miss Wiggles goes to school.

I have a 6 1/2 month old that I call my little Squiggles, haha. They are too sweet.

Now my husband is a carpenter, and we built our own house two years ago. So my painting advice:

If I were you I'd give your cabinets a good sanding to take some of the finish off. Then give it a couple of coats of primer depending on how dark the wood color is/was. After that Sand it again because primer brings out the grains in wood and it will make it rough feeling. When it's smooth bring on the paint. However many coats until it looks crisp.

Good luck!! :)
