While he's been away...

Before Dan left I knew that these last two weeks were an opportunity rather than a burden. Looking at it that way afforded me the opportunity to think about all that I could get done if I had my evenings to myself. Don't get me wrong, I am not a fan of two week long business trips. I relish the help Dan is in doing the bedtime routine with Ms. Wiggles. Ms. Wiggles isn't that high maintenance though and she is in a great stage where she is eager to learn and loves hanging out with me. Thus, these last two weeks have been an opportunity.

First off, I nabbed the Priscilla Shirer study, He Speaks to Me. It has kept me from endlessly vedging out in front of the TV and I have a few areas in my life right now that I am having a hard time knowing what He wants of me so these last two weeks have been an opportunity to go deeper and learn to have an ear more ready to hear God's voice, hence the Hebrew words in my side bar.

I also have been working on a couple craft projects I will have on here later. I made a bracelet for a friend over the weekend, had another friend over and we made greeting cards. I am now working on another project using an old six paned window. There is a great blog that does DIY Day and I am eager to participate. Looking at other ladie's DIYs has totally wet my appetite for a little DIY of my own. I am quite inspired.

I'm also sleep deprived as I have been staying up past midnight these last couple nights working on all this. It will be good when Dan gets home 'cause then I will be forced to go to bed at a more decent time.

I have a few more craft projects in my mind to do but I won't talk about these yet 'cause they are going to be Christmas presents and I don't want to spoil the surprise for my family. ;)

Sounds like you've come up with fantastic ways to pass the time. My hubby was gone last week and I had to come up with things to do too! I hope this is a time of rest and renewal for you instead of a time that drags along. Praying for you this week!
