Happy 7 Month Birthday Baby Girl!


Today is a big day! My baby girl is 7 months old today! What an amazing little blessing she is!

I don't know how we got so blessed but we did. I am so amazed to have been watching her growing and developing. Her babbling is so cute. She loves her baby food. Sarah thinks her daddy is the funnest person on earth and she stares at me with such trusting eyes. I love those big beautiful cheeks and how her eyes scrunch up when she smiles. Too cute.

What a big responsibility. My heart overflows. I know I am going to make so many mistakes. I am so glad God is bigger than me and my sin. I pray God's light shines clear through everything else and Sarah chooses Him over all else.

We are looking forward to going to Arizona to see family. I don't doubt she will be crawling by then, almost 8 months old by then.

I found your blog through Warren's. You have such a transparent, honest voice. Thanks for sharing your journey. I also LOVE the photo of your daughter. It reminds me of when my own little girl was so small and sweet. :-)

Isn't it amazing how fast they grow up?! She is beautiful! Thanks for your kind words, and I would love to do lunch sometime too. I think we have a lot to share.

DIY Day a bracelet and another Frenchh Memo Board

This week, I have two DIY projects. This is a faux pearl bracelet I made last week for a friend. It is a three strand bracelet. I couldn't really say how I did it though. I can say it has taken me a while to get the nack of jewelery making. One thing I have sufficiently gotten the nack of is this French Memo Baord thing. My second greatest creation!

I did it, I really did it. I've never done something to at this scale of work. It took me many hours but I did it. I am so proud of this DIY project. My first DIY Day! I would be remiss in mentioning that this little beauty is my best DIY and that handsome man there, well, he just melts my heart and fortifies it all at the same time. Here is the plain old dirty six paned window I have been hauling with me every where since I found it a few years ago at a Habitat for Humanity Restore. I had it done up before but that was a novice's attempt at crafty. I knew when I saw the other crafty DIY projects floating around the blogosphere that I would need to get serious in order to play with the big dogs. Inspiration

So, I am reading this book, $100 Startup by Chris Guillebeau. I'm not planning on starting a business or anything. Its just super inspirational. I like inspirational people. I have this friend, Kathrine who is the best sewing person, sewer or whatever you call it in the whole world. When inspiration strikes, she sews stuff.  I think that is freaking awesome. I have friends who have passions and they just go for it. Love it! My brother, Justin wanted to design toys. He did it. My brother and sister in love, Scott and Laura wanted to start a youth horse ranch. They are doing it. My husband was a sweet little country boy who wanted to go to the Air Force Academy. He did it. See the pattern? I like being inspired. So $100 Startup is a book full of people who find themselves not so much in a career or really intending to make it big but they just start down a path and do what they love.
