Praying for others

Tonight our house will be a prayer cottage. I am so excited! I've been saying that a lot lately. I am. I am preparing homemade white bread, pumpkin bread with chocolate chips, tea, coffee and candy corns for tonight. I've already got my pumpkin candles out and ready to light. All the windows are open and fans going to make sure the house smells good (you laugh at me, but I'm paranoid about smells from a stinky house to bad breath, its a complex).

Dan and I have been praying everyday for the last few days for each of those men who will be speaking at our Revival next week, Matthew, Matt, Joe, Todd and Dan. Considering that we are focusing on spiritual warfare, well, I'm sure there will be spiritual warfare over this. I don't always know what to pray though so when ever I can I write down scripture prayers. This prayer I want to share with you is one I have posted about before. This is a prayer that I've prayed for our speakers and their families. No doubt the best way to distract someone is through their family. Well I just refuse to allow Satan to use me as one of his tools so to the throne I go. :)

Father God,
How I long for ____ with the affection of Christ Jesus. My prayer is for ____ that her/his love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that ____ may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Christ Jesus to the glory and praise of You Father God.

I pray ____ may live a life worthy of You Lord and please You in every way; bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge and wisdom of You, being strengthened with all power according to Your glorious might so that ____ may have great endurance and patience and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified ____ to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. For You have rescued us from dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son You love, in whom we have redemption the forgiveness of sins.

I pray for ____ without ceasing that You may count ____ worthy of his/her calling, and that by Your power You may fulfill every good purpose of Yours and every act prompted by ____ faith. I pray this so that the name of You LORD, the great I Am, the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in ____ and ____ in You according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

I pray these scriptures in the name of Jesus. I claim these versus you have given me and I hand them back to You wrapped around ____ like a robe. I lay ____ wrapped in Your Word at Your feet at the foot of Your throne. You are the Maker of earth, sky, seas and heaven. Praise be Yours Father God for ever and ever, wisdom and power are Yours. You change times and seasons, depose kings and establish kings. You give wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. You reveal deep and hidden things. You know what lays in darkness and light dwells with you. I thank and praise you, O God of my fathers, God of Israel. You have given me wisdom and through me, Your power flows. I am Your vessel Lord. ____ is Your vessel Lord. LORD my Lord. In Your Word, Paul says, "...pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints." Father, this is my prayer in Jesus' name I pray for ____. Praise and glory is Yours. Amen

I would also like to add that at the end of October I will be selling jewelery at St. Mary's Marketplace. I've got a lot of jewelery to make. I could definitely use prayer for that. I'm not innately an organized person or disciplined. God has gifted me with to people in particular to help me with staying on track and I just want to thank them both right here and now, Chloe and Dan. Chloe has been so awesome in getting me going, sharing in my enthusiasm. Having another person involved holds me accountable (I'm a terrible people pleaser so I'd hate to disappoint :). Dan has been looking all over the web for bead and jewelery making wholesalers, how to video and articles, etc. He has been asking questions I didn't think to ask and helping me weed through details like cost, profit and quantity. Chloe has been so awesome to make me a label and helped me come up with the name "Intricately Made 139" or "IM139". This comes from Psalm 139. It is my desire to use this venture to support children that are in the hospital. I am going to try to make necklaces to give to children in the hospitial (with things like cancer, diabetes, and awaiting transplants.) Originally it was Christmas but my pastor suggested Valentines day and that seemed to fit much better. I am also able to get the youth group involved which is a bonus. I wish every one could know my youth group. These young people ya'll they are just awesome people! That is it for now. I will keep you updated on where this path takes us. I swear if I had a tail, it would be wagging so much, I'd just fall right over. :)
