What does a mother of a baby and a super model have in common?


What a new mom and a super model have in common is frequent wardrobe changes accept I suspect a super model gets better clothes but for me, as a mom, its more fulfilling. I once wanted so badly to be a model. That was about as likely as me becoming a worship leader, oh, wait I do that...can't sing, but still do it from time to time. Life is funny that way. My migraine from last Sunday landed me in bed and unable to lead the worship music. Bummer. I also missed a duet by a friend and her sister. Total bummer.

The prayer cottage went awesome last night. As we get closer to a Revival discussing spiritual warfare, there is definitely spiritual warfare. Our youth pastor has H1N1. Please pray as he has a baby daughter. Our pastor is feeling particularly vulnerable. I know of a few other people participating that also are dealing with some junk. I have a few choice words for Satan but I will refrain from writing them on this public forum.... though I am tempted.

I have done all the prep work and tomorrow I buy the supplies for my jewelry. I am totally stoked. I've written out some different necklace already. I'm trying to be as organized as much as possible. Intricately Made 139. I am so thankful for this new venture. Pearls, glass beads and crystal beads. Super exciting.

I love the clothes change...aren't babies fun?! Glad the prayer cottage went well, I know you were excited! Sorry to hear about all the not so great things going on, hopefully everyone will get healthy spiritually and physically soon!

This week, I have two DIY projects. This is a faux pearl bracelet I made last week for a friend. It is a three strand bracelet. I couldn't really say how I did it though. I can say it has taken me a while to get the nack of jewelery making. One thing I have sufficiently gotten the nack of is this French Memo Baord thing. My second greatest creation!

I did it, I really did it. I've never done something to at this scale of work. It took me many hours but I did it. I am so proud of this DIY project. My first DIY Day! I would be remiss in mentioning that this little beauty is my best DIY and that handsome man there, well, he just melts my heart and fortifies it all at the same time. Here is the plain old dirty six paned window I have been hauling with me every where since I found it a few years ago at a Habitat for Humanity Restore. I had it done up before but that was a novice's attempt at crafty. I knew when I saw the other crafty DIY projects floating around the blogosphere that I would need to get serious in order to play with the big dogs. Inspiration

So, I am reading this book, $100 Startup by Chris Guillebeau. I'm not planning on starting a business or anything. Its just super inspirational. I like inspirational people. I have this friend, Kathrine who is the best sewing person, sewer or whatever you call it in the whole world. When inspiration strikes, she sews stuff.  I think that is freaking awesome. I have friends who have passions and they just go for it. Love it! My brother, Justin wanted to design toys. He did it. My brother and sister in love, Scott and Laura wanted to start a youth horse ranch. They are doing it. My husband was a sweet little country boy who wanted to go to the Air Force Academy. He did it. See the pattern? I like being inspired. So $100 Startup is a book full of people who find themselves not so much in a career or really intending to make it big but they just start down a path and do what they love.
