Smell association can sometimes turn pretty smelling things bad
I wouldn't say I have stronger five senses than most, I just have always really paid to much attention to them so I guess they are a bit more heightened. Dan is always asking me how I can see the brown kitten in the fall leaves, the microscopic spider on the carpet, a cardinal on the side of the freeway and exactly what kind of animal the road kill is that we are the 100th in line to run over. I also get irritated listening to particular accoustic songs because of the sound of the fingers make moving over the wires as they play. Of course if you knew me I get annoyed at a lot of sounds, gum chewing, popping, I'm neurotic I know. Anyway...
Smell association was the point. I've decided certain products shouldn't smell like things we eat like toilet bowl cleaner and trash bags are two examples. During my childhood, my mom used Comet toilet bowl cleaner which smells exactly like lifesaver mints. So if you are sucking on one to make your breath smell better, sorry, I'm thinking of toilet bowl cleaner. I've used scented bags for my daughters diaper pail. Now when ever I smell that particular smell I think of poopie diapers. I'm just saying, some times things back fire. Particular scented things can be one of them.
