Question Monday

Today I heard a sermon that had some pretty awesome truths regarding our judgement in relation to forgiveness. Generally we have a tendency to judge others by their actions while we judge ourselves by our intentions. Ouch. That hits home and is so so true. A while back Hubby and I had a conversation about this but this really clarifies the point.

So question #1 when was the last time you had to eat humble pie and seek forgiveness for a choice that hurt someone else no matter even if it was unintentional or the result of a miscommunication? Do you need to now? I doubt I'll get many responses on this but I'm hoping you'll surprise me. I will write my response in the comment section so you won't be alone.

If you are not quite ready to confess on that one, then tell us, what TV show character would you like to be for one episode?

I wrote about some friends on my blog without their permission. Though it was nice what I wrote, I still should have asked first.

I think my hardest times of being humble are with my MIL. She's hard to talk to sometimes. She has a great heart, but we clash at times, usually due to miscommunication. I often think of the verse, "As much as it depends on you, live peaceably with all men." That is HARD! I'm learning that sometimes changing my attitude is more necessary than asking for forgiveness, because the attitude shows the spirit of forgiveness.
