Conjecture

We've got a teether people! Miss Wiggles woke up yesterday with a fever. There is been little to no napping here today. I just put her down for betime and she if finally asleep. Who cares if I put her down for the night at 4:30. Honestly, its only about an hour early for her. She probably needs it. I need it.

In house news, there is an intense smell of stale moisture in the vicinity of my washer/dryer, fridgerator, garage door area. It smells like it may be the floor. There is vent there but I don't smell it anywhere else so I'm at a loss as to what it is. It smells like when you forget a load of laundry in the washing machine to long and they get to stinkin' again. Its that smell. I've already ran bleach through my washer. It hasn't helped.

A theory if you will. I don't quite understand why this house is a rental rather than the sellers selling it way back when they moved out in the 80's. They could have gotten a lot of money if they sold this house at the peak of the market. They would have made over $100,000 My theory is, they couldn't. The back yard sloped towards the house ever so slightly. The back wall of the house appears to be sinking lower than the rest of the house. The front yard slopes towards the front of the front bedroom. That room is lower than the rest of the house slightly. Maybe there is foundation damage. I realize how unlikely this is of course because all of this is ever so slight and its been over 20 years. My other guess is there is a dead body hidden under the house and the ghost explains the drafty family room. Don't tell Hubby I said that. He hates that kind of conjecture. I think its funny. Besides, I could use some company during the day, but then again ghosts are about as good at conversation as an eleven month old so maybe not, well unless your Melinda Gordon.

You're too funny, Melinda, I mean Katie. :)

Sounds like Mildew to me and you need to figure out where it is. It could make you or Sarah or Dan sick. You might want to let the rental company know. They might be able to find something, or get someone to come in and find out where it is.

What did they say about the trim?

No word on the trim yet. Our point of contact had a family emergency this last week so I have to wait until Monday. Well, mostly. I've already painted most of the trim white in the kitchen because, well, its the kitchen. Clean and crisp is a need not a want as far as I am concerned.
