I love me some white trim.

My two babies (one baby, one babe) are sick today. Miss Wiggles has had quite a runny nose and a bit of a cough. Daddy has drainage. Leo and I are doing our best to take care of them. At the moment, Leo is Hubby's lap warmer. The snow continues to fall. Its so beautiful.

I've been thinking about what I would love to do to this house we are renting. I am loving painting all the eggshell trim white (I got permission first) and then paint the walls a springy pale blue (the hardest thing I've done, picking out a pale blue). I have an old six paned window I will paint black and add coat hooks and a small shelf under it. On the floor i will put a long rectangular basket and line it using a vinyl table cloth as fabric for us to throw our shoes in it. The floors here are beautiful recently refinished hard wood so you can be sure we will take care of it.

I should get to work but that would mean getting up off this couch and out of my jammies as the snow continues to fall and Miss Wiggles continues to sleep. So torn.

Well are't you just a bottle full of great ideas. You're making me wish I had some rejuvenation joices going to get me to do a bit of uppidity something else to mine. I've had my nose stuck in so many other things lately, that I'm sure my house is feeling my negligence. I used to pet and pamper and pretty it all the time. But trust me, it's been a while and it's starting to show. :(


I hope your babies (both of them) feel better soon.

DIY Day a bracelet and another Frenchh Memo Board

This week, I have two DIY projects. This is a faux pearl bracelet I made last week for a friend. It is a three strand bracelet. I couldn't really say how I did it though. I can say it has taken me a while to get the nack of jewelery making. One thing I have sufficiently gotten the nack of is this French Memo Baord thing. Here is a magnetic one I made for my fridgerator out of left over scraps from the window from last week . For the month of September, all my DIYs will be giveways. My second greatest creation!

I did it, I really did it. I've never done something to at this scale of work. It took me many hours but I did it. I am so proud of this DIY project. My first DIY Day! I would be remiss in mentioning that this little beauty is my best DIY and that handsome man there, well, he just melts my heart and fortifies it all at the same time. Here is the plain old dirty six paned window I have been hauling with me every where since I found it a few years ago at a Habitat for Humanity Restore. I had it done up before but that was a novice's attempt at crafty. I knew when I saw the other crafty DIY projects floating around the blogosphere that I would need to get serious in order to play with the big dogs. Inspiration

So, I am reading this book, $100 Startup by Chris Guillebeau. I'm not planning on starting a business or anything. Its just super inspirational. I like inspirational people. I have this friend, Kathrine who is the best sewing person, sewer or whatever you call it in the whole world. When inspiration strikes, she sews stuff.  I think that is freaking awesome. I have friends who have passions and they just go for it. Love it! My brother, Justin wanted to design toys. He did it. My brother and sister in love, Scott and Laura wanted to start a youth horse ranch. They are doing it. My husband was a sweet little country boy who wanted to go to the Air Force Academy. He did it. See the pattern? I like being inspired. So $100 Startup is a book full of people who find themselves not so much in a career or really intending to make it big but they just start down a path and do what they love.
