Prayer, its necessary
A good friend, a trusted older sister in Christ once told me that sometimes God doesn't call us to the physical front line of action but through prayer to the spiritual front line fighting for those who are more visible in their walk with Him. Moses held his hands up to help the Israelites win their war. When his arms rested, they lost, when they were up, the were winning. Moses interceded for the soldiers on the front line and Moses had two men helping hold his arms up. I think that is a good example of how we can support each other as we all work to walk in God's will. Prayer is the key. Our battle is not against flesh and blood but against what is unseen, against Satan, against the power of darkness and the principalities of this world.
I have some prayers for the ministry, Restoring the Foundation that I lean on to help me hold my hands up against Satan and his evil forces. I also have prayers from Stormie O'Martian; Power of a Praying Woman and Power of a Praying Wife. Good books because sometimes I just don't have the words, my spirit is willing but weak. My brain gets consumed by my day to day responsibilities and I just can't hold up my hands in prayer. I need help.
Anyway, that is just something I was thinking about. There is another great blogger I've been following in her ministry. I want to pray for her. After all, when I worked advocating for foster children and sat with young women contemplating their crisis pregnancies, it was the intercessary prayer warriors that kept me going. Now its my turn to give a little prayer back.

Katie, you're priceless! If we don't realize that the greatest act in the battle is prayer, then we've missed the bulk of the battle, we won't win on our field.
You've encouraged me beyond words not only in your willingness, but in your understanding of its need... and the power that prayer holds.
I am finally really going to bed (though I meant to hours ago!). I can tell you now, tears will flood my pillow at the GOoDness of the Lord... and His call to people in accomplishing what He means.
I will thank Him mightily for you! I see His heart in yours!
I just want to testify to God's GOoDness! I've been blown-away by this new track He's put me on. (If I could tell you the whole story, you'd be amazed!) Though eager to help, eager to do, excited to serve... I've felt clueless and baffled about what I'm doing. It's so obvious that God is opening doors to places I never thought I'd go. But I'll be honest, I've been a whole lot confused.
Today, God on His Own (with the help of no man, no advice or explaining or help from any human) has given me clarity and understanding to so many things! I have a knowing that I didn't know before. And with that, a peace that transcends all understanding.
I know this probably didn't make a whole lot of sense to you. But I said all of that because I wanted to say: YOUR PRAYERS ARE WORKING! ALREADY!!! ALREADY I'M SEEING HIM DOING WHAT ONLY HE ALONE CAN DO!
Again, I can't thank you enough for going with me on this journey. Who would have thought? Who would have known?
Well, of course, we both know Who! He's the One that sits on His Throne!
Thanks, dear friend, for blessing me in ways that human eyes can't see! May God bless you 100 fold for what you have done!
Keep on praying... for this is one the tip of the iceburg!
