Now that its all out of boxes, where do I put it! Urg!

Now that "most" everything is unpacked and "most everything has found it's place there is the task of finishing touches.


There is this book case from Ikea that I want in white for my Family Room.

There are these silk curtains from Restoration Hardware I want for, well, everywhere.

There are these number pillows from Potter Barn I want to make my next DIY project.

This rug from Crate and Barrel would look great in the library (which is the formal living room turned Hubby's office).

Obviously those, with the exception of Ikea (over three hours away so maybe not an exception) I can't afford to shop in these places. With my Bed Bath and Beyond coupon, Ikea on line, overstock.com, Wal-Mart, Target and Cost Plus World Market, I will get this house to be my home.

Unfortunately I'm at this increasingly frustrating place where there are still random boxes to unpack "most" of every room is unpacked. Basically it is that stinky place of almost settled but not quite.

The kitchen is almost finished being painted.

My office needs just one more shelf and a rug.

The family room needs a little tweeking for toy organization and paint.

The office is painted but needs a rug.

The dining room has a rug but needs paint.

The hall way needs paint and a rug.

You catch my drift. This is the slow going part where most everything is out of boxes. Great, but now we need to organize and find all that stuff a home. The closets and spare drawers become the catch all for all the "I have no idea what to do with this" stuff. I'll be the happiest when paint is up really, then again, I'm saying that now. Ask me again when the paint is up. Besides that, I'm trying to take my time and pick the right palest of pale blues with just the right bright and just the right grey. I'm kinda never satisfied anyway with my home. I'm always visiting decorating blogs like; Fingerprints on the Fridge, Shabby Chic Cottage, The Nester, and websites like Restoration Hardware, Potter Barn, Crate and Barrel, World Market, Ikea.

Its a process.
