A post with a life of its own!


I did just post some new pics of my new home. I love decorating, but for now I will take a break from that.
Miss Wiggles is finally getting the hang of the camera. I point and she poses. What a hoot!
Before I go on though with non house stuff, I really want to ask for some prayer because the guys that came to clean our air ducts found that there is no moisture barrier under the house (plastic layed on dirt foundations to keep moisture from hosting mold and mildew). At this moment the dirt foundation is a big muddy mess under there. This people is not good, very very not good. I have been having problems since we've moved in with breathing and things. Hubby is also stuffed up as is Miss Wiggles. I really don't want to move again so please pray this is easily fixed. The property management company is always really fast at getting things fixed, so it will be taken care of fast. Continued over exposure to mold though isn't a good thing.


Wow, ya'll are quick. Just finished that paragraph, talked to the property management woman and she said they will have it fixed right away, dried out and a new moisture barrier put in. They will go in, dry it out and that should fix it. I would cross my fingers, but I think I'll put my hands palm to palm instead. I'm taking it to the Big Guy.


You know, writing all that, I think I will write more later about what I originally intended. I'm looking over all the different names of God and meditating over what they look like in my own life, how God portrays different charecteristics in my life. Its important to me because this house can be so all consuming. Taking care of Miss Wiggles and getting this house settled after a move, starting a new business, these things sometimes tempt my mind away from a focus on God and I start focusing on my circumstances or on myself and then things get all out of wack.


I guess then a good name to start with would be Jehovah-Shalom; the LORD our peace.

DIY Day a bracelet and another Frenchh Memo Board

This week, I have two DIY projects. This is a faux pearl bracelet I made last week for a friend. It is a three strand bracelet. I couldn't really say how I did it though. I can say it has taken me a while to get the nack of jewelery making. One thing I have sufficiently gotten the nack of is this French Memo Baord thing. Here is a magnetic one I made for my fridgerator out of left over scraps from the window from last week . For the month of September, all my DIYs will be giveways. My second greatest creation!

I did it, I really did it. I've never done something to at this scale of work. It took me many hours but I did it. I am so proud of this DIY project. My first DIY Day! I would be remiss in mentioning that this little beauty is my best DIY and that handsome man there, well, he just melts my heart and fortifies it all at the same time. Here is the plain old dirty six paned window I have been hauling with me every where since I found it a few years ago at a Habitat for Humanity Restore. I had it done up before but that was a novice's attempt at crafty. I knew when I saw the other crafty DIY projects floating around the blogosphere that I would need to get serious in order to play with the big dogs. Inspiration

So, I am reading this book, $100 Startup by Chris Guillebeau. I'm not planning on starting a business or anything. Its just super inspirational. I like inspirational people. I have this friend, Kathrine who is the best sewing person, sewer or whatever you call it in the whole world. When inspiration strikes, she sews stuff.  I think that is freaking awesome. I have friends who have passions and they just go for it. Love it! My brother, Justin wanted to design toys. He did it. My brother and sister in love, Scott and Laura wanted to start a youth horse ranch. They are doing it. My husband was a sweet little country boy who wanted to go to the Air Force Academy. He did it. See the pattern? I like being inspired. So $100 Startup is a book full of people who find themselves not so much in a career or really intending to make it big but they just start down a path and do what they love.
