PEARLS MAKE ME HAPPY!

Ok, so I'm posting for the second time in only a couple hours but, well, its my blog. Don't go without checking the previous post regarding getting to know the Characteristics of God.

I'm kind of excited I got my first e-mail to advertise on my blog. I'm not sure I'll do it yet, but I'm excited about it anyway. Of course there is that little advertisement to the left for that cute jewelry shop at Etsy. Ok, its my jewelry shop. I'm working at adding more and updating the site. Its a process and fortunately I have more time to do it these days. In the mean times here are some great pieces while we wait. Who doesn't love jewelry? I have to ask and I hope you will answer. Are you a pearl gal or a diamond girl? If you don't know my answer from these any where in this post, well, you will never know. :)

18" double pearl (turquoise and periwinkle) stranded with Sterling silver chain and pendent




Grapes of VaVaVoom: 20" 3 strands in one purple glass beaded with toggle clasp


3 strands of turquoise pearls in one bracelet accented with sky blue glass beads and one gorgeous cobalt blue pearl.


Ole Town San Diego: a one yard long necklace with sterling silver pearl clasp displays turquoise, periwinkle and olive green fresh water potato pearls mixed with shell, blue glass, wood and turquoise stones. Great as one long strand wrapped as two or as a four strand bracelet. Gotta love versatility!

I did it, I really did it. I've never done something to at this scale of work. It took me many hours but I did it. I am so proud of this DIY project. My first DIY Day! DIY Day a bracelet and another Frenchh Memo Board

This week, I have two DIY projects. This is a faux pearl bracelet I made last week for a friend. It is a three strand bracelet. I couldn't really say how I did it though. I can say it has taken me a while to get the nack of jewelery making. One thing I have sufficiently gotten the nack of is this French Memo Baord thing. Here is a magnetic one I made for my fridgerator out of left over scraps from the window from last week . For the month of September, all my DIYs will be giveways. Atleast one will be...well, a guest DIY and a giveway by my SIL over at Read Be Tween the Lines. My sister, Candy and Ladybugs has a picture in her side bar of her latest crosstiching (did I spell that right? My spell check didn't catch it but I don't think thats how it is spelled) project. A New Side Table Arrangement and Jewelery Give Away

I did not think through planning blog posts on certain days when I had a Beach Trip planned. Shortly before we arrived at our rented beach house for the Labor Day Weekend, the owners cut off the Internet service. Bummer. Yes, I could have gone to the Dunkin' Doughnuts and gotten free Wi - Fi but that would have meant being pulled away from this cutie. Miss Wiggles does not like the bright sun (she is a fair skinned red head so I suppose its only natural) so she loved loved loved her sunglasses. Never once did she try to pull them off or attempted to touch them. I think 'cause she sees me where mine, she just knew. In the DIY blogging world, there have been so many neat table arrangements, and arranging every where else from bed sides, dressers , mantles, windows, etc. that I felt I should try my novice hand at artfully arranging my side table to the cozy leather chair in my library (aka, home office).
