Wednesday and Thursday are having nothing in common.

While yesterday was chalked full of awesome, it as apparent by night time yesterday that today wasn't going to be. Captain Wiggles is cranky as all get out getting frustrated at the slightest provocation which is a new thing. A new thing I don't much care for. Hopefully she will be ok decompressing in her crib which is her usual way of wanting to destress when she has had to much going on.

I am most certainly sick. My throat hurts, my head hurts and my sinuses are hurting and doing that yuck cold congested thing. Oh yeah, and my gland thingies in my throat feel swollen. Blah.

Hubby won't be home who knows when. He is interviewing several big candidates for the company he works for. I am rather proud of him by the way. He was recently put in charge of the program that he was a part of creating which is integrated into several other sights all over the world. How cool is that? Probably cooler for you if you knew what the heck I'm talking about. Just know my husband rocks! :)

Anyway. Captain Wiggles and I are most assuredly home bound and the beach tomorrow is quite unlikely at this point.

Fortunately I've been like a machine getting stuff done lately. I've spruced up things, rearranged others and made still more so pictures are sure to come. Maybe not this week all things considered but soon. I do believe there is a DIY Wed., Transformation Thurs. and Feature Yourself Friday. Oh, and a Feature your Hubby Tuesday. I love blog parties.

I love comments too. ;) I admit it! I'm shameless! My love language is words of affirmation. They make me all warm and fuzzy in my heart. :)

Off to get a glass of orange juice. Thank God for Aloe lotion tissues.

I just wanted to drop a note and say I love your blog. And the seeking a deep personal friendship, I totally understand. We moved A LOT growing up and never had many. Well, that'd be never had any! But as an adult, I've tried to maintain friendships and so appreciate them. With computers, cell phones, & txt, it's easier. So, I'll be 'following'you and see what God does with it. Take care and I'm hoping He'll be pointing out that special friend He has just for you. :))

DIY Day a bracelet and another Frenchh Memo Board

This week, I have two DIY projects. This is a faux pearl bracelet I made last week for a friend. It is a three strand bracelet. I couldn't really say how I did it though. I can say it has taken me a while to get the nack of jewelery making. One thing I have sufficiently gotten the nack of is this French Memo Baord thing. Here is a magnetic one I made for my fridgerator out of left over scraps from the window from last week . For the month of September, all my DIYs will be giveways. My second greatest creation!

I did it, I really did it. I've never done something to at this scale of work. It took me many hours but I did it. I am so proud of this DIY project. My first DIY Day! I would be remiss in mentioning that this little beauty is my best DIY and that handsome man there, well, he just melts my heart and fortifies it all at the same time. Here is the plain old dirty six paned window I have been hauling with me every where since I found it a few years ago at a Habitat for Humanity Restore. I had it done up before but that was a novice's attempt at crafty. I knew when I saw the other crafty DIY projects floating around the blogosphere that I would need to get serious in order to play with the big dogs. Inspiration

So, I am reading this book, $100 Startup by Chris Guillebeau. I'm not planning on starting a business or anything. Its just super inspirational. I like inspirational people. I have this friend, Kathrine who is the best sewing person, sewer or whatever you call it in the whole world. When inspiration strikes, she sews stuff.  I think that is freaking awesome. I have friends who have passions and they just go for it. Love it! My brother, Justin wanted to design toys. He did it. My brother and sister in love, Scott and Laura wanted to start a youth horse ranch. They are doing it. My husband was a sweet little country boy who wanted to go to the Air Force Academy. He did it. See the pattern? I like being inspired. So $100 Startup is a book full of people who find themselves not so much in a career or really intending to make it big but they just start down a path and do what they love.
