Loving My Husband: Crash and Burn

This is one of my favorite blog parties, To Love Their Husbands Tuesday. I have nothing to share about loving my Hubs this week. Hormones, 'nuff said. I am confessing this in a post though because I need it written down here in this public forum to hold me accountable to being much more successful this coming week so that when I link up next week I can hold my head higher.

You see my husband really is worthy of any lovin' that I send his way. He is quite insightful and I don't think I appreciate that enough.

So, I will go find my Power of a Praying Wife that lays neglected under my bed and pray through it this week and then I will work on making his dinner and lunch with a more joyful heart. I do it, but not with a joyful heart for sure these days. I'm thankful he loves me anyway. I complain and he still rubs my back when I have a headache. I love this man.

I'm sorry last week was not a great week for you, but I commend your honestly and willingness to share openly with us.
I have to say that I absolutely love Power of a Praying Wife. I've ahemm, read it several times through out our 3 years together and find that it helps each and every time I finish it.(I will admit here that once I was reading it and Jason made me mad so I put it away. Kind of like a Take That moment)
Looking forward to hearing more from you in the coming weeks.

DIY Day a bracelet and another Frenchh Memo Board

This week, I have two DIY projects. This is a faux pearl bracelet I made last week for a friend. It is a three strand bracelet. I couldn't really say how I did it though. I can say it has taken me a while to get the nack of jewelery making. One thing I have sufficiently gotten the nack of is this French Memo Baord thing. Here is a magnetic one I made for my fridgerator out of left over scraps from the window from last week . For the month of September, all my DIYs will be giveways. My second greatest creation!

I did it, I really did it. I've never done something to at this scale of work. It took me many hours but I did it. I am so proud of this DIY project. My first DIY Day! I would be remiss in mentioning that this little beauty is my best DIY and that handsome man there, well, he just melts my heart and fortifies it all at the same time. Here is the plain old dirty six paned window I have been hauling with me every where since I found it a few years ago at a Habitat for Humanity Restore. I had it done up before but that was a novice's attempt at crafty. I knew when I saw the other crafty DIY projects floating around the blogosphere that I would need to get serious in order to play with the big dogs. Inspiration

So, I am reading this book, $100 Startup by Chris Guillebeau. I'm not planning on starting a business or anything. Its just super inspirational. I like inspirational people. I have this friend, Kathrine who is the best sewing person, sewer or whatever you call it in the whole world. When inspiration strikes, she sews stuff.  I think that is freaking awesome. I have friends who have passions and they just go for it. Love it! My brother, Justin wanted to design toys. He did it. My brother and sister in love, Scott and Laura wanted to start a youth horse ranch. They are doing it. My husband was a sweet little country boy who wanted to go to the Air Force Academy. He did it. See the pattern? I like being inspired. So $100 Startup is a book full of people who find themselves not so much in a career or really intending to make it big but they just start down a path and do what they love.
