I was excited for the possibility of a lazy summer but that lasted probably 24 hours and I realized I'm not cut out for that. Here are a few things I've been working on.
I planted some seeds from the dollar section at Target. Supposedly they are all flowering seeds. I'm really loving the mixed pots; Terracotta, ceramic and metal. I'm loving the little decorative edging next to the equally awesome drift wood complete with shells and barnicles. My little spot of awesome right there ya'll!

Well here is a big room redo. My old office was moved into the living room turned office/library so Hubby and I will be together in the evening instead of us
separated in our own offices. Besides we have already had seven house guests so far this summer and plans for two more in the next couple of weeks so....

My office became the guest bedroom. It is a work in progress. That turquoise spray painted window will eventually get mirrors and fabric memo boards and get placed above the bed with pics of our guests in it. I'm still looking for a comforter. I'm thinking white.

I chose the curtain because it reminded me of a hotel. Coincidentally, I put out Disney Resort hotel stuff from our recent Disney stay for a nice touch. That cool hemp and shell creation was at a roadside citrus stand. I've been wanting one for years and now I have one for my very own. To brighten up the room (no
ceilings lights, crazy right?) I painted all the trim white. Big difference.

Lastly, one of my closest friends that has been in my life since my
sophomore year in
high school painted these two lovely flowers and left it for me to paint the stems. Well I loved how it looked with her
sketched in stems so I simply darkened them a bit, found this old frame and that little blue vase and
Wa La! This little
three hangs above our breakfast table.
What we have in the process is painting our kitchen cabinets done. There are a few touch ups left to do and then pics will be posted.
I also need to buy new house plants for the kitchen. Stupid Miracle Grow pot soil always gives my plants gnats. I don't know why I used it this time. I should have known better.
I am also doing vinyl wall art in Wiggle's bedroom. Pics to come of that. One word; birds. It looks so so cute! Can't wait to show you next week.
Until then,
Katie
