Breath deep and take anothe swig of the lemonade, its summer baby!

I feel like I've just run a marathon or something! Whew! These last few months near about did me in. We officially have white kitchen cabinets. If you can avoid painting your kitchen cabinets I highly suggest just saving for new ones or anything but painting them. Well, ok, we painted ours after many many other projects so half way through our done button went off like a raging siren. We just have a few touch ups to do. It looks great and we are really not doing any more projects for a while.

Which means I am seriously going to try and master lazy this summer. A friend of mine wrote on her FB page something along the lines of summer being the time laziness meets respectability. Well, that quote is going to represent my summer... well, hopefully anyway. ;)

That and working on my relationships. We've already had some great quality time with family and friends. I love summer house guests, cooking out on the grill, hanging out at the beach, play dates.

We went to Williamsburg this last Saturday and forgot that the neighborhood garage sale was the same day. I guess that is good for our wallets...well accept that we went to Williamsburg so I guess it all comes out in the wash later. lol

We didn't get to partake of the garage sales but trash pick up was Tuesday and so it was like a smorgasbord (does that word have an actual spelling?...oh, according to spell check, it does). I am new to the audacity of picking up stuff on the side of the road but I couldn't resist this. I picked up a trifold mirror and a rocking horse, both in awesome condition (that's my word; awesome. :)

Actually, I'll tell you that story. Wiggles and I went on a walk and came across the rocking horse which is like a big stuffed white and pink horse on rockers ( which I keep calling a he so I guess "he" is a metrosexual gelding). I cleaned the leaky battery acid out of his battery pack and so he is good as new, moving his mouth, naying, galloping...well accept his neck is broken but he does look cute with his tail braided and mane in tine little "pony" tails". te he ta he. "He" is now sporting some pretty pink satin ribbons.

Oh, yeah, so the trifold mirror, saw that on our walk but obviously couldn't carry it home along with the horse I carried. We went home, got the car, went back, found out it was to big to go in the house without unscrewing the back brace off (you know, the boards that hold it to a dresser). Well, the man driving the pick up truck with a cool arm to reach out and grab the loose trash was coming. I actually went over to him and asked him to leave it for me so I could go home and get my screw driver.

Bold audacity and no shame here people.

He assured me that he doesn't pick up glass anyway (and then proceeded to pick up a box full of glass but whatever). I went home, got the screwdriver, went back, unscrewed the supports, put it (and several bugs) in my car and home we went. Now that I look back, there was more I wanted, but I think I had hit my limit of stepping out of my comfort zone with my horse and trifold mirror

... oh, and green vase.
