Custom designs are the best!

One of the unexpected fun things about making jewelery is the custom made orders. I mean making my own creations is fun but when I can bring to reality the creative dream of someone else, well, that is is just awesome. Last Christmas, I made two necklaces for a high school girl and her BFF. This one pictures was for her BFF. In my first show, I made a similar necklace for her mom that she liked. It was fun to see her get excited about the two necklaces she went home with. I also made a six strand pearl and fluorite bracelet for my gal pal, Chloe. The pearls came from London where her mom lives. That was super cool, especially as you may remember, I was privileged to wear it to a Black Tie Gala a few months ago. Yeah, job perks. Anyway, I ended up making a pair of earrings and a baby bracelet out of the remaining pearls. Chloe's mum has asked that I make a baby bracelet for Miss Wiggles as well to say thank you. I am over the moon! I can't wait to get that made and put in her little hope chest...err, tin candy box that will eventually go in her hope chest when her daddy makes it. So yeah, I'm having tons of fun with the jewelry. I just established a set schedule for myself. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings are my work times. Of course whenever I can get more work time in I take it, but when it comes to planning out my days, those are set in stone.

As for as the Romans 12 Project goes, I am seriously being humbled. I'm working on verses 6 and 7 this week. You know, its one thing when I choose to follow God and Satan attacks me. It is a whole other when he attacks my family. I've been a lot of prayer today over my family as they go through various trials. I was convicted a couple weeks ago when a deacon in my church said, "You pray for what you get and you get what you pray for." Wow and ouch! I haven't been praying for Hubby, Wiggles or my extended family like I ought. I guess that is why I decided to take this journey. You know, we shave our legs to get rid of unwanted hair or wax them. We dye our hair to get rid of unwanted greys, get facials to clean out our pours, q-tips to clean out our ears, toilet paper...well you get the picture. So it is also important to work on our mind, heart and spirit as well. Here I am trying to clean out the impurities of my heart that often over flow out of my mouth causing me to seek forgiveness time and time again, you know, sticking my feet in my mouth as the saying goes. Basically, I am, as we all are, a custom design God is always at work perfecting until the day He calls me home.
So, that is all I have right now. Honestly, I'm tired and a bit numb. I'm praying through it and of course if you are praying for me through this process well, you are like homemade bread with homemade strawberry jam for my soul so thank you.
