Moving right along

Therefore I urge you brothers [and sisters] in view of God's mercy to offer your bodies as a living Sacrifice holy and pleasing to God - this is your spiritual worship. So do not conform any longer to the pattern of this age but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you be able to discern the good, pleasing, perfect will of God. By the grace given me, I tell everyone among you to not thing more highly of himself than he out but instead think sensibly as God has given a measure of faith to all. Just as we each have our own body with many members but each member does not serve the same function, in Christ we are many people who form one body all belonging to each other

verse 5 in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.

I want God to challenge me to welcome people into my life that are outside my comfort zone whether that be a friend from another culture, ethnicity, religious view point, single, older, younger, different in any way that will challenge my social comfort zone. I know that I do indeed have the common inclination towards desiring to hold company with those who are most like myself. I am however thankful God mastered in unique and one of a kind people. This verse speaks to me to recognize that we those who are not like me are different and neither better or lesser than myself.

I do have a great praise in my life right now beside the obvious to lovely ones that live with me. Hubby and I have been praying for years now that our home would be a place known for hospitality. I am thankful to say so far this summer we have had almost nonstop house guests, cookouts, dinner parties, play dates, babysitting and so on. I am loving the revolving door. God is so good.
