Romans update

Therefore, I say to you brothers and sisters in view of Gods mercy, offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God - this is your spiritual act of worship. So no longer conform to the pattern of this age but instead be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may be able to discern the good pleasing perfect will of God. With the grace given me and my responsibility to you I tell everyone among you to not think more highly of yourselves than you should think but instead think with sober judgement in proportion to the faith God gives everyone. Just as each person has one body with many members and each member does not serve the same function, so it is in Christ that we who are many form one body and each one belongs to the other. We all have gift by the grace given us. If a man's gift is to prophesy then let him prophesy in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve and if it is teach then let him teach. Romans 12:1-7

Well that is where I am this morning. I am a work in progress as is my Romans 12 Project.

In all honesty, this week I am spent. My energy level has been super low for doing just about anything. I'm not sure what it is but its a good thing I have a doctor appointment next week so we will see. Of course I've been pretty busy so I could just be tired as tired is and for no other reason. Who knows but being ready for bed at 7pm is kinda ridiculous if I do say so myself.

And, no it isn't a possible bun in the oven, I'll just say that now.

I realized a few weeks ago that when it comes to sitting at the feet of Jesus, there is a listening time as in a time to just meditate on the Word so I will claim that as now since I don't have much to say. My brain is still in bed.

DIY Day a bracelet and another Frenchh Memo Board

This week, I have two DIY projects. This is a faux pearl bracelet I made last week for a friend. It is a three strand bracelet. I couldn't really say how I did it though. I can say it has taken me a while to get the nack of jewelery making. One thing I have sufficiently gotten the nack of is this French Memo Baord thing. Here is a magnetic one I made for my fridgerator out of left over scraps from the window from last week . For the month of September, all my DIYs will be giveways. Atleast one will be...well, a guest DIY and a giveway by my SIL over at Read Be Tween the Lines. My sister, Candy and Ladybugs has a picture in her side bar of her latest crosstiching (did I spell that right? My spell check didn't catch it but I don't think thats how it is spelled) project. My second greatest creation!

I did it, I really did it. I've never done something to at this scale of work. It took me many hours but I did it. I am so proud of this DIY project. My first DIY Day! I would be remiss in mentioning that this little beauty is my best DIY and that handsome man there, well, he just melts my heart and fortifies it all at the same time. Here is the plain old dirty six paned window I have been hauling with me every where since I found it a few years ago at a Habitat for Humanity Restore. I had it done up before but that was a novice's attempt at crafty. I knew when I saw the other crafty DIY projects floating around the blogosphere that I would need to get serious in order to play with the big dogs. Good thing all you blogger peeps were also my inspiration. ;) With out further adue . Did I spell that right. I need to learn French. Not really. I'm so doing this on purpose. Ok , here it is..... Inspiration

So, I am reading this book, $100 Startup by Chris Guillebeau. I'm not planning on starting a business or anything. Its just super inspirational. I like inspirational people. I have this friend, Kathrine who is the best sewing person, sewer or whatever you call it in the whole world. When inspiration strikes, she sews stuff.  I think that is freaking awesome. I have friends who have passions and they just go for it. Love it! My brother, Justin wanted to design toys. He did it. My brother and sister in love, Scott and Laura wanted to start a youth horse ranch. They are doing it. My husband was a sweet little country boy who wanted to go to the Air Force Academy. He did it. See the pattern? I like being inspired. So $100 Startup is a book full of people who find themselves not so much in a career or really intending to make it big but they just start down a path and do what they love.
