Taking A Break

I'll rip the band aide of fast. I've tried just minimising my blog time, working it into my ever changing schedule, what not, but it isn't working. I have slowly realized over the last year that I've just got to take a break. I am thankful to those of you who have supported me and encouraged me as I've struggled with this. You don't know what that means to me. I thought about just doing it occasionally or writing every once in a while but I feel this is the only way.

Gosh, I've formulated this post a lot. If there were a trash can with the scrapped versions, it would be overflowing with balled up scraps of posts.

I've got to step away for a while. Thank you for being a part of my real world because as I see it, you are all apart of my real life. I never liked when I heard bloggers refer to their real life as if we are all somehow imaginary.

That is why I will continue commenting and visiting, I just can't be posting right now. Of course some of you, I have gotten to know through e-mail. Thank goodness for that.

I hope you will wish me God speed and thank you for being my blogger buddies.

DIY Day a bracelet and another Frenchh Memo Board

This week, I have two DIY projects. This is a faux pearl bracelet I made last week for a friend. It is a three strand bracelet. I couldn't really say how I did it though. I can say it has taken me a while to get the nack of jewelery making. One thing I have sufficiently gotten the nack of is this French Memo Baord thing. My second greatest creation!

I did it, I really did it. I've never done something to at this scale of work. It took me many hours but I did it. I am so proud of this DIY project. My first DIY Day! I would be remiss in mentioning that this little beauty is my best DIY and that handsome man there, well, he just melts my heart and fortifies it all at the same time. Here is the plain old dirty six paned window I have been hauling with me every where since I found it a few years ago at a Habitat for Humanity Restore. I had it done up before but that was a novice's attempt at crafty. I knew when I saw the other crafty DIY projects floating around the blogosphere that I would need to get serious in order to play with the big dogs. Inspiration

So, I am reading this book, $100 Startup by Chris Guillebeau. I'm not planning on starting a business or anything. Its just super inspirational. I like inspirational people. I have this friend, Kathrine who is the best sewing person, sewer or whatever you call it in the whole world. When inspiration strikes, she sews stuff.  I think that is freaking awesome. I have friends who have passions and they just go for it. Love it! My brother, Justin wanted to design toys. He did it. My brother and sister in love, Scott and Laura wanted to start a youth horse ranch. They are doing it. My husband was a sweet little country boy who wanted to go to the Air Force Academy. He did it. See the pattern? I like being inspired. So $100 Startup is a book full of people who find themselves not so much in a career or really intending to make it big but they just start down a path and do what they love.
