Prayer made just a little bit easier

Update: Just noticed I mispelled little in the title. Oops. That is what I get for typing late at night. :)
For what ever reason, when it comes to praying for my children I am at a loss for my own words. I have the Power of a Praying Parent by Stormie Omartian and that is a great starting block.
I also love to pray scripture. So today when my pastor, Pastor Doug went over Colossians for the second time, I was super excited that he outlined from chapter one some great bits to pray for when praying for others, you know, beyond just praying for safe travels and health. ;)
Taking from Pastor Dough's sermon and turning the outline into a personal prayer, here is the verses somewhat in my own words but mostly just scripture.
LORD my Lord, I pray Wiggles will be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. I pray she walks worth of you Lord, fully glorifying you and bearing good fruit in ever good work and increasing in knowledge of You. I pray Wiggles will be strengthen with all might according to Your glorious power for all patience and longsuffering with joy; giving thanks to You. I pray in all these things that her dad and I be examples of these things being transparent as we walk with You. Amen
Whew! It always seems like such a load off when I can turn to the scripture and pray God's word back to Him. No pressure to come up with my own eloquent (or lack there of) prayers. I am so thankful that God has made His word alive to me that it jumps from the pages impressing upon my heart rather than being a hard to read dusty old book. Then when prayers do come from my heart, I know they have a good foundation in God's word. Its kinda nice how that works. A professor once exasperated with my lack of understanding of his topic once made a comment, "Its not like this is the Bible." The Bible isn't always easy to get but it is a lot easier if you know the Translator. :)
