July 4th we are having a....

This little lady will be two on Wednesday. I promise to write more about that on Wednesday. For now I am excited to say she is going to have a little brother. In case you think there is still a possibility that we could have a girl, let me put your mind at ease. We are most definitely having a boy. I've seen the ultra sound. There is no question about it and we will leave it at that. ;)

So, a boy. What are we going to do with a boy? Dan's a boy. I grew up with boys, didn't even really have good girl friends until high school and even then it was two out of many guy friends. So we should have this down pat right?

I'm a little nervous. Boys get into everything. They like to see how much things can bend before they break or how many pieces one thing can become. They like to know if all surfaces look as great as paper with markers. Miss Wiggles is so extremely well behaved. She has no interest in the office or cabinets or the trash can. Colors are always on paper, she hates the idea of breaking stuff, doesn't like her hands dirty and doesn't really raise her voice too much. I'm spoiled.

For now, I'm just going to focus on all that has to be done like selling baby girl stuff and buying baby boy stuff. Then there is the junk room that will be a nursery. I'm not a fan of a lot of the boy nursery ideas so this should be interesting. I may forgo the whole Babies R Us nursery theme thing and come up with my own. We are...at the moment anyway... leaning towards a beach theme. I want a more rustic beach like fishermen in Main kind of theme. It will most likely change. The beach nautical thing should stay but how exactly that will morph, I can't tell you. All I know is it better darn well sooth me at all hours of the night. I'm just saying.

So, a boy. Little Man is sure to be a lot of fun. He better come out tough because his sister sure isn't a sissy. Then again, Sarah better brace herself because boys after all...

Oh Katie! That is so awesome. Now you will have a place to put your light houses, if you go with the nautical theme. There are some great ideas that can be done for a nursery with that theme. :) Yahoo!

Congratulations!!! Boys are awesome!! And while they are busy and get into things when they are little....no raging girl hormones or drama! They duke it out and move on. No boy has ever said, "He looked at me funny. I don't think he wants to be my friend. Do I look fat in this? "
