World Globes, center arrangements, nesting galore!

I lost my camera then found it! Phew!
I have been doing a little sprucing lately rearranging, adding super cute finds.

I have a thing for world globes. I have three now. You won't believe how I came upon this black one. First Sunday back at our church last January as I practically skipped down the hallway to Sunday School (what can I say, I was happy to be back) I stopped, my eyes grew dewy and I fell in love! There sitting by the gymnasium doors on a shelf off to the side was a black ocean globe practically coming apart at the seems. Well, for three months I eyed this globe lovingly as it just sat abandoned. Then someone commented that they thought the boundaries were not even accurate and right then and there I knew he needed to be mine. I called the church office the following day and wouldn't you know I picked him up that afternoon. I may be a mite crazy but at least I'm crazy with a cool globe.

This blue one was a gift. She is a semi-precious stone globe gifted to me by my husband on his first deployment years ago. I wanted very much to have just a simple globe to look at so I could see what country he was in. Well, this pretty little thing is what he gave me. What a man huh? :)

I taught preschool years ago in college and this khaki ocean world globe was given to me by a mom who wanted a blue ocean globe for her kids (she said it would be more accurate, who was I to complain?).

Well, since I'm showing you my home, why don't I show you some cute little arrangements I'm loving. This is my desk in our study. If you recall this post a while back of our office. We definitely have a world travel theme. I live vicariously through my themed study. A girl can dream.

I finally found an arrangement I liked for my dining room. It took me a while to get it. This one makes me smile.

Well, thank you for walking through my house with me. Next week these pots here will have beautiful good smelling flowers in them thanks to the dollar section at Target. Say hello to my barnacle and shell encrusted drift would there to the left. I picked it up right off the beach. How cool is that?!
Toodles!

aaaa, two things, I was telling phil about this globe thing, and asked if he knew about the one a chruch, he said yeah i said something about it to her. he told me and it is verbatum what you wrote, rather funny to us. Also, for one who doesn't like wooden balls in a bowl sitting around you do a great job with pine cones.(really i like it) I read a post you wrote a long time back about wicker balls in bowls on coffee tables and how you dislike it. I found it funny since i own some... Ha ha hope this makes sense... N

Great globes! And I like your pretty vignettes, too.

Have a great weekend!

Beautiful, Katie! That makes me want to decorate my house. I need to declutter first. Maybe mom will help me with that when she gets here. We will need a free activity for us to do while she's here. :)
I love your globes! The black globe is gorgeous - what a fabulous find! Would love to have you stop by the Sunday Showcase Party if you get a chance! Your vignettes are perfect for spring! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much for stopping by and joining the Sunday Showcase Party! I greatly appreciate it. I just adore your collection of globes and how you have them displayed. Hope you have a wonderful week. Hope to see you again next Sunday! ~ Stephanie Lynn
